CHAPTER 45 : KAWAKI'S REMINISCENT

  Kazuya finally escaped from Boruto using Manta's reverse summoning to teleport himself to his other HQ in Konoha. He immediately went into a short surgery as his team tries to remove some of the small ice shards that stuck onto his core.

  With only the PGE database that was recovered, his medical unit wasn't able to fully repair his core and so, Kazuya now lost his "Slip through" ability. He then demands a meetup with the Hokage to rush his plan.

THE SCENE SWITCHES TO EIDA's SIDE

Eida decided that she and Daemon wanted to go to Konoha and meet Kawaki since it was taking too long. She has her own plans. So they both took the thunder train at the Land of Snow to Konoha. When they arrived in Konoha, everyone was charmed by her. Ino sensed the enormous foreign chakra located at the station and immediately informed Shikamaru of the situation. Shikamaru then went towards them. He then remembered that Amado once told him about some cyborgs he had created to defeat Jigen. Amado also told him about their abilities, so Shikamaru ask himself saying "Could it be them?" Ever since the information that Ino had told him that everyone was charmed by those 2 people.

  Shikamaru decided to take matters into his own hands and handle the situation without telling Naruto. He didn't want Naruto to be under their spell if their abilities were true. They finally meet face to face at the train station.

- Eida : Oh my.. It's dear Shikamaru.

- Shikamaru internal logue : She knew my name huh?

Eida then introduced herself to him but Daemon stubbornly refused to introduce himself to Shikamaru. She then smacks Daemon on the head for misbehaving and says to Shikamaru "Sorry for my little brother's misbehave. His name is Daemon". The Uchiha Police team arrived at the scene while standing by.

Afterwards, Eida warns Shikamaru to be careful and he better follow her request. The Captain of the Uchiha Police team responded by saying "How dare you be rude to Mr. Shikamaru". Eida then glanced at him with the right side of her beautiful red lips slightly lifted. The captain felt irritated and pointed his chakra gun at her.

  Suddenly his head was blown off and he died on the spot. Everyone was shocked and confused by what happened just now. Shikamaru is now convinced that these two are the cyborgs that Amado mentioned. He then ordered the Police force to remain calm and not to engage.

- Shikamaru to Eida : So, Amado wasn't lying at all. Both of you were the cyborgs that Jigen was afraid off.

- Eida : Well well well. So you've heard of us huh. I'm glad that that piece of shit is now dead.

- Shikamaru internal logue : So she knew about that.

- Eida : I want to meet the Hokage. There's something I need from Konoha.

- Shikamaru to Eida : Sorry, can't do that. But you can deal with me now since I'm his advisor.

- Eida : Hmm. Ok. That's good enough for me. For now that is..

- Shikamaru : What brings you here? I'm not gonna believe it that you're here for a vacation.

- Eida : Well, sort off that. More like a honeymoon. I'm here for my handsome prince charming.

- Shikamaru : Huh? Honeymoon? Your prince? What're you talking about.

- Eida (Chuckles & blushes while covering her face) : Hehehe. Yeah, my prince charming. The man who killed Amado.

- Shikamaru : The man who killed Amado? Sorry you've came to the wrong address. Code isn't here.

- Eida (frustrates) : Ughhh.. Don't act stupid will ya! I'm talking about Kawaki-kun.

- Shikamaru (confused) : Kawaki?... Killed Amado???

- Eida : Don't act like you don't know. Anyways, you better follow my demands.

  In Shikamaru's mind, there were many questions he needed answers to. But he just plays along for now and slowly learns what Eida knows. All this time Kawaki told him that Code was the one who killed Amado. He began to grow suspicious of Kawaki.

- Shikamaru : And what if that's not possible?

- Eida (activates her Sennrigan) : Well then, you're gonna miss out so much about Code.

- Shikamaru : What's this feeling?? Is this one of her abilities?? Dammit. (Tries to resist)

- Ino while talking to Shikamaru through her mind transfer jutsu: Hey are you ok? Do I need to convey this to Naruto?

- Shikamaru to Ino : No don't!! That would be a bad idea.. I can manage myself. You just scan the perimeter of the village even more. Just in case if this is a set up for an infiltration.

  Shikamaru finally agrees to her request to meet with Kawaki in return for some intel regarding Code. They then went out to Shikamaru's office. He then asks Eida & Daemon to stay in his office for a while because he has to make some phone calls. He then went out and closed the door.

  Shikamaru wanted to test Eida's abilities, especially her Sennrigan. Therefore, he then tasks some shinobis to find Kawaki and at the same time he purposely communicates with Ino acting like he's going to attack Eida once he gets back inside. His motive was to comfirm if Eida's Sennrigan ability could hear his conversation with Ino or not by him talking to Ino through the mind transfer jutsu because he already knew that she could hear and see what was happening in this physical realm. If she's able to hear him & Ino's conversation, surely she's going to be on standby mode once he enters the room back. A few minutes later he went back inside.

- Eida to Shikamaru while sipping tea: That's wonderful that you asked them to find Kawaki-kun.

- Shikamaru (Waiting for his confirmation about his test) : What did you hear and saw?

- Eida : You ordering those shinobis to find Kawaki-kun. By the way, he's at the cemetery.

- Shikamaru : I see, so what's he doing there?

- Eida : Lamented over his brother's death. Is his name Boruto Uzumaki?

- Shikamaru internal logue : She looks calm. So she's only able to hear & see what is happening in this physical realm huh. Still, what a ridiculous ability to have.

THE SCENE SWITCH TO KAWAKI AT THE CEMETERY.

  Kawaki was sitting in front of Boruto's grave cleaning the grave and dusting the tombstone. He starts to remember the good times they had together back in the day (them fighting after peeing outside the house, going on a mission together, having dinner and especially when Boruto fisted him in the chest telling him that they will defeat Jigen together). Tears started to flow from his eyes and the scene showed his soft side.

- Kawaki spoke to himself while smiling : Heh.. We were like grumpy fools back then. Always looking for something to argue with each other. Dad still thinks that you're still out there somewhere. I hope you are. But if you're out there somewhere, why haven't you come back? Anyway, I've enjoyed every moment with you, brother.

  Maria (Sarada's assistant) then finds him and tells him that Shikamaru called him to his office. Before they left, Kawaki told Maria to wait for him at the entrance cemetery gate. Kawaki then took out the headband Boruto had given to him years ago and put it on Boruto's grave saying to himself "Thanks for this but...I already have this scarf to replace your headband to wrap around my neck".(He's saying while holding the scarf around his neck)

- Kawaki touches the tombstone before he leaves : I'm leaving now. Maybe one day... We will meet again. Goodbye for now.. My one and only.. stupid brother.
