THE OPENING SCENE BEGINS BY SHOWING 7-YEAR-OLD BORUTO STANDING IN A BRIGHT LIGHT ENVIRONMENT. IT THEN SWITCHED TO BORUTO'S 1ST PERSON POV.
Boruto stood behind his father who was getting further away from him. He tried to chase him from behind. As he chased after his father, he stretched his right hand forward trying to reach him saying "Papa.. Wait for me!".

He finally reached his father from behind and tried to grab his shirt but suddenly Naruto turned to dust. The 7-year-old Boruto was shocked at what had just happened. So from his first person POV, he pulled back his arm and looked at his palm thinking that he got a piece of Naruto's cloth. He then unclasped it from his hand and it was empty.
He then heard footsteps in front of him and looked ahead. He realized that it was Sasuke, walking further away from him. The scene then shows 13-year-old Boruto in first-person POV doing the same thing to his father earlier by chasing Sasuke and saying "Uncle Sasuke! Please wait!! Where are you going?!".

He once again finally reached Sasuke from behind and grabbed his cloak but Sasuke kept walking forward leaving him. Because he didn't want the same thing to happen before with Naruto, he grabbed Sasuke's cloak tightly and pulled it. Suddenly Sasuke disappeared and only his cloak remained, slowly falling to the floor.
