A flashback of Borushiki kills Sasuke is shown in a dream. Boruto wakes up from his nightmare. He open his left eye, thinking he's dead. He tries to get up but he's not able too because his right side of his body got crushed. He tilted his left eye to the right side of his body and finds out it is covered with white synthetic like material. He then looks at his surroundings realising that he is in a cave.
- Boruto : I guess I'm in the afterlife now.
A man standing in the shadow reply back to him "You're in a cave that's located far side of Mt. Miyoboku. And you're not in the afterlife". Boruto tilts his head to where the man's voice came. The man slowly walks away from the shadows towards him.
- Boruto : Wait... It's you! The man that fought against Jigen before.. Kashin Koji..
- Kashin Koji : Looks like fate allow us to meet again, Uzumaki Boruto.
- Boruto : I thought you were dead..
- Kashin Koji : I was able to escape by using my toad summoning and since then, I've recovered my injuries here. Thanks to my scientific body able to sustain major damage & able to regenerate back.
*Koji is wearing his mask, so boruto still didn't recognise his face*
Boruto tried to get back up multiple times again but failed due to his right side of his body got crushed.
- Kashin Koji : Your body is still regenerating. Thanks to Amado's scientific equipment that he left in Kara's hideout. I've managed to take it before my battle against Jigen just in case. Move too much and the synthetic nano cells that I've infused in you will destroy. It may take time since the synthetic nano cells are still trying to merge with your tissue.
- Boruto (tears running down his eye) : What's the point on saving me if I've lost everything now.
Boruto remembers back that he killed Sasuke.

- Boruto : I can't return back. After all that I've done, no one will ever forgive me. Especially Sarada & dad.
He then was able to roll on his back and fell down from the bed, face planting himself. Blood starts flowing down from his forhead and down to his left eye lash (symbolizes him crying blood). Negative memories starts to grow in his mind making him traumatized by that incident. He then slams him head to the ground multiple times trying to kill himself.
- Kashin Koji : There's no point on crying over a spilled milk. It is what it is Uzumaki Boruto. What's important is how do you move forward from it. Shinobis are just a bunch of tools.
