CHAPTER 50 : NARUTO'S OFFER FROM THE DEVIL

After Boruto get some rest, he gets prepare to go back to Konoha and stop Kazuya once and for all before he makes Boruto's bounty officially known to the public. Bushin then warns him what's going to happen in the near future if everyone knows his existence.

- Bushin to Boruto : There will be more trials and tribulations in the near future, young Uzumaki. So be aware of it if the whole world knows your existence. Sadness & sorrow will be following you wherever you go. Your own former friends will betray you for wealth & status. They will lure you to trust them and when the time has come, betrayal will occur upon you. That's the most painful feeling that you could ever experienced.

- Boruto : Why is that??

- Bushin : Because, the saddest thing about it is that it never comes from your enemies.

Boruto then wander while reminiscing about his friends if they would betray him.

- Bushin : Well.. Come to think of it, The Uzumaki clan were always bound with the curse of betrayal.

- Boruto : How come...

Bushin then explains the history of the Uzumaki clan's relationship with other nations. The clan was used to be a prominent clan that was feared amongst other nations. And so, they were destroyed and betrayed by other nations because they were too powerful. Time and time again the same thing happens till this day when the nation was destroyed due to the aftermath of the 4th war and after that was ignored by other big nations for to help them rebuild back.

- Boruto : Why don't you fight back for your rights?

- Bushin : What can we do about it.. Fight 1 of the big nation and the other 4 will come since all of them have 1 common goal at that time. To prevent us from being the most powerful nations in the whole world. But.. since you've already burned AIBO to the ground, maybe changes will come since they're the ones who controlled the charity system. (Meaning the small nations have been freed from AIBO'S terror and blackmailing them)

- Boruto : I better get going now...

As Boruto was getting out from the tent, he was stunned that the whole villagers were in front of Bushin's tent. He then opens his sword preparing to fight, assuming that everyone is hunting him down for the bounty. A woman then step forward walking towards Boruto. He noticed that woman was one of the slaves that the 2 AIBO scouts tried to drag them at the hidden HQ's entrance before his battle against them. She then hugged him thanking him for freeing them from AIBO. The rest of the villagers bows down to him as a sign of respect and gratitude towards him. A sense of calm and relieved in his heart after years haven't felt being appreciated and feeling lonely.

Boruto then activates his karma to open his time space portal but then remembered the marking on his chest. He deactivates back karma due to him having a bad feeling if he keeps using it since the marking on his chest is getting wider. So he request help from the fisherman to give him a ride with his boat.

THE SCENE CUTS TO KONOHA

A day before, Kazuya have requested to have a meetup with Naruto. So Naruto went to AIBO'S official HQ which is located in Konoha. Naruto arrived at the HQ and was greeted by the manager of the headquarter. The manager then give a tour for Naruto while on their way to Kazuya's office. While Naruto is seeing all of the new technologies that'll be use for the future generations, he begins to have concern for the Shinobi way of doing things. Naruto then asked the manager where is the new cyborgs being developed? The manager replies back with "There's some technical difficulties we're facing, so the project will be delayed." In reality, those future cyborgs were destroyed by Boruto at their Hidden Rain HQ.

Naruto finally reached Kazuya's office and knocks the door then enters. Naruto greeted Kazuya while he's watching the view of Konoha through the window while sitting on a chair. He then turns his attention around to Naruto. Naruto was shocked to see Kazuya's current condition.

- Naruto : What happened to you???

- Kazuya (smirks) : Let's just say, a ghost tried to kill me.

- Naruto : Haha.. You're really good at making jokes ya know..

- Kazuya : Anyways.. I've got something to discuss with you Hokage.

- Naruto : What's that?

- Kazuya : Tell me... How's your current health condition?

- Naruto : I'm fine.. doing better than ever. (While showing a fake smile)

- Kazuya : Come on... (Kazuya pulls out all of Naruto's current medical records Infront of him) You don't have to keep things a secret with me my Lord. (Naruto just sat there silent)

- Kazuya : Your current condition is getting much severe my lord. Especially mentally, after the loss of your son. You're no longer unfit to carry the duty of be the Hokage. What if a threat like few years ago happens again? Which will likely to happen again. Do you have the strength to protect this village?

- Naruto : As the Hokage, I will do everything that I can to protect my people. Even if it means sacrificing my own life.

- Kazuya : And still, do you have the strength to pull it off?

Kazuya then present to him some research data that his organisation gathered from the villagers. The data shows that the majority of the villagers prefers technology to replace a Shinobi's heavy duty tasks. Not only it will save hundreds of shinobi's life, but will also have the power to protect this world from future enemy threats to come without dripping a single blood. Naruto just sat there in silence knowing that everything Kazuya said is true.

- Kazuya : Tell me lord seventh, have you ever thought of retiring?

- Naruto : What're you plotting, Kazuya..

- Kazuya : Not plotting.. but more like.. offering.

- Naruto : What....

- Kazuya : Resign as the Hokage and let me take over. In return, I shall give you Intel...

- Naruto interrupts : Sorry but I don't take bribes y'know.

- Kazuya : Come on now.. hold down your horses... Resign and bestowed me to be the next hokage. In return, I shall give you intel regaring...Boruto...Uzumaki... (Naruto's eyes widened) I can guarantee you, you won't be dissapointed with this.

- Naruto (Pretend to resist) : He's already gone. What's the point..

- Kazuya : Pfftt.. Stop pretending Hokage... I know you still think he's out there somewhere.. Here.. (Offers his hand to fist bump him) Let's synchronize our chakra.

Naruto fist bump and begins to synchronize his chakra with Kazuya. Suddenly he was shocked from what he saw to the point he instantly jumps backwards in a panicking manner.

- Kazuya (offering a handshake) : See, I'm not lying to am I? That's just a tiny bit from it.

- Naruto : (hyperventilating while slowly looking up at Kazuya's convincing face)

- Kazuya : What do you say.. Hokage? This offer benefits both of us.. I get to protect this nation and you get to know the truth about your son Boruto. Not only that, you get to spend your time with your other son even more and able to focus on getting your health back.

Naruto stares at Kazuya's hand and.....

NARRATOR :
