CHAPTER 56 : A DEVOTED SON'S PARABELLUM

Continue from the last chapter, the tension between Sarada & Shikadai was hair raising due to Sarada questioned Shikadai who's the person sittting next to him in a hoodie cape.

Shikadai struggles to find an excuse for her so after a few minutes without any answer but just stutter, she rushingly grabs the person's cape by the shoulder and turn it back. A close up view showing both of their eye's widened seeing who's the person in the cape.

The scene then reveals to Sarada that it was a life-size doll who's in the hoodie cape. A small flashback scene shows Boruto sneakingly managed to use a Substitution jutsu the moment he sensed Sarada was nearby. Sarada stutters and jaw dropped by what she saw.

- Sarada to Shikadai : It's a female doll??

- Shikadai's internal logue : (Sigh out of relief)

- Shikadai to Sarada : See.. It's just a doll.

- Sarada's face turns fully red while blushes and turns back : Shikadai... Don't tell me that you...

Shikadai laughs nervously out of relief. Sarada just keeps staring at him and still blushes hard. Shikadai noticed her face is red and ask her "Why are you turning red?".

- Sarada (keeps staring him) : That's ok. I understand..

It took a while for him to finally caught up to what Sarada was thinking and he immediately panics. The reason she blushed because she assumed that Shikadai bought a sex doll and is interested on exploring a new kink. Shikadai just stutters all the way while sweating hard trying to come up with other excuses for it. Sarada turns back and is about to leave.

- Sarada to Shikadai : You know... You're a smarty brat. You really should find a girl to date. Why bought a doll when there's plenty of hot chicks in our village.

- Shikadai's internal logue : Dammit.. That Boruto.. He's gotten even sneakier. Huhhh. Oh well, at least things finally settled.. What a dragg..

- Sarada : Anyways.. I'm going.. I have another mission later at the Land of Stone. See ya..

Sarada then suspiciously looked at Shikadai for a few seconds and left the place. The scene switches to Boruto hiding behind a roof feeling sad & guilty after he sees Sarada jumping from roof to roof.

Boruto spoke to himself as he said "I'm sorry... Sarada" while staring at his own right palm. The very hand that killed Sarada's father.

The scene fadedly transitions from Boruto's face to Kawaki's

Kawaki and Nishi accompany Eida and Daemon shopping in town. Because he is bored and annoyed with them, he tells Nishi that he's going to buy Taiyaki at his favorite Taiyaki stall. On his way to get there, he saw a crowd rioting in front of a building. Out of curiosity, he went to the crowd wanting to know what happened.

He tried to make his way to the front line. As he got closer to the front line, he began to hear some of them expressing their anger. One said "It's not enough that his adopted son was the cause of our family's death a few years ago (referring to the Jinshiki incident), now his biological son is also doing the same thing? Both are the same... Bunch of murderers".
