CHAPTER 49 : THE ORIGIN OF KARMA

The next day (5 DAYS REMAINING), After Boruto rests, Kashin Koji tells him that he finally found Kaguya's first hidden palace. It is located near the cave mountains in The Land of Snow. He showed Boruto the scroll he managed to retrieve from the palace but he couldn't read its contents. Boruto looked at the writing on the scroll and couldn't understand the language either. His jougan suddenly activated and slowly he's able to interpret the language of the content.

- Boruto reads the first word of the scroll's contents : The sacred hidden truth that has been hidden for eons. The truth of the Otsutsuki clan, the clan of the Phoenix.

- Kashin Koji is at first confused how he's able to decipher the language but then notices Boruto's Jougan : Your right eye.

History & origin of Reincarnation. The Otsutsuki Clan, the clan of the Phoenix was once a noble pure clan full of love and happiness but was eventually corrupted by pure greed and power. Long time ago, a civil war broke out and the aftermath led to the clan spreading its lineage. The true king lost the war and it causes him to cast a curse on his own clan except his future descendants to have a short unsatisfactory life to reduce the corruption.

1 fellow Otsutsuki member named Shibai, managed to figure out how to obtain immortality & power. He is the progenitor of the method of Evolution & Reincarnation. Shibai was originally from the clan lineage nicknamed as the nomads or known from the Otsutsuki clan as the outcast. The lowest branch of their clan's lineage.

One day he decided to travel to another planet to seek peace but suddenly stumbled upon a planet filled with living creatures. The creature is called the Ten Tails. He then began to observe their behavior. That observation led him to find out that when a ten tail is on the verge of death, they would bury themselves into the ground and eventually turn into a Divine tree and eventually the tree would bear a fruit. The fruit was named the Divine fruit.

Out of curiosity, Shibai flew to the tree & plucked the fruit from its bud then ate it. He began to feel a surge of power & the knowledge of the planet's history within him.

A few thousand years later, he realises that he has outlived all the members of his clan who were born at the same period as him. He then travelled back to the Ten-tail's planet and ate more of the Divine fruit and as a result led him to live longer than the rest of his next generation. The other clan members were baffled as to how he was able to live this long.

He then returns to the planet to get more fruit but this time, the planet is now on the brink of extinction. He managed to figure out what was going on and it turned out that every time a Divine fruit was produced, the root from the tree would suck the life force out of the planet. Another discovery he made was when he noticed that the ten-tails were cannibalizing each other to survive and when it turned into a Divine tree, its Divine fruit was much larger than usual.

Shibai knew that the ten-tails planets would soon be lifeless so he managed to teleport the remaining of them to 2 more planets. The 1st Planet is for him to breed them to keep the population balanced, the 2nd Planet is to run some experiments and grow the Divine fruit.

One day he took 1 member of his clan to the 2nd planet and showed him what he was working on. Suddenly out of curiosity, Because he didn't want the ten tails to cannibalize each other, He sacrificed his clan member to ten-tails. Shibai then just stood there from the edge of the cliff and watched him get chewed to pieces. The results show that the process of producing the Divine fruit is accelerated and it bore even larger fruit, thus the fruit is more riper than usual. After tens of thousands of years of experimenting, Shibai finally achieved a way to obtain immortality & power.
