CHAPTER 12 : MAKING THE FIRST MOVE

Kawaki is at home taking care of Naruto. As day goes by, he sees Naruto getting weaker & weaker from time to time due to his illness. In his mind, he's thinking of calling Amado to come over & check up on him. But Amado is busy right now. Kawaki went out to get some fresh air. He goes to the main town to buy some taiyaki. As he is walking, most of the villagers stare at him and were whispering at each other about rumours of Kawaki being an otsutsuki.

A man whisper to his friend saying "have you heard about the rumour yet?" His friend replies back "What rumour?" The guy then responds back "About the otsutsuki incident several years ago (Referring to the Jinshiki Otsutsuki invading incident). Apparently the enemy was coming for that guy. Somehow the enemy ran away.. if he's still here, the enemy might come back for him & konoha in danger again.''

Kawaki heard their conversation but ignored them. In his mind, he says "Why should i care about them, the only person that I care about now is only my family". Kawaki then goes to spend his time at the hokage's stone face. During sunset, Amado again walks by & approaches him.

- Amado : No wonder you always spend time here. The sunset view over here is clear from any buildings blocking the view. So you really like this spot huh? I wonder why.

- Kawaki : I've loved this spot ever since I came here. This view overlooking konoha which nanadaime loves & cares about. Even though people hate & don't agree with my way on doing things, I will protect nanadaime no matter what. Even if it means by sacrificing this place.

- Amado : Listen Kawaki, i've been hearing rumours about the feudal lords soon are going to announce a new organisation that's related to weaponry to the whole world.

- Kawaki : What's your motive on telling me this... it's not like I care or nothing to do with me.

- Amado : You're right. It has nothing to do with you but, from what I've heard, it's not a good situation for the hokage's position.

- Kawaki : Talk..

- Amado : From what I've gathered intel, the organisation is about politics & advanced weaponry for future armies. I've been hearing they've finally built an advanced humanoid cyborg that's capable to replace a shinobi's role. From my understanding, the hokage's main goal is about prioritising the future generation to carry the will of a shinobi. If this new organisation manages to convince people's mind that these soulless cyborgs are able to carry a shinobis role, they will automatically think the world doesn't need shinobis anymore since they've already got these cyborgs to replace them, which means they're able to prevent their love one's from dying on the battlefield. And if so, the hokage's position could be in jeopardy due to everyone knows about his main goal. Because if war breaks out amongst other nations, the feudal lords & elderlies from each nation are going to send cyborgs instead of shinobis. Surely people will support it since they're able to prevent their loved ones' potential death in war. A battle without any blood spilled on the ground soil. Just like during the 4th great ninja war where hundreds of thousands shinobi died to a lifeless being (White zetsu).

- Kawaki : How advanced are these cyborgs?

- Amado : What benefit can you provide me if I tell you?

- Kawaki pulls Amado's clothes : Just tell me you old geezer! What other intel that you've gathered ! I need to protect nanadaime's position so that his will & dream still lives on for many generations to come. At least for the next 50 years.

- Amado : Heh! You haven't changed much have you?.. always angry at everything. Don't be hasty & naive. You need to calm down, assess the current situation, then come up with solutions. Fine, I'll tell you. But in return, I need a favor from you.

- Kawaki : What is it?!

- Amado : Tomorrow I'll be going to a cave far south from Konoha for an investigation. I need you to accompany me on my journey there. I don't want to get bored during the journey so...

- Kawaki : Is that it? Fine then. What a lousy favor.. After all these years, Finally Shikamaru is willing to let you wander outside the village alone huh?

- Amado : Hahaha, that would take a miracle to happen for him to allow me to wander outside the village alone. Shikamaru will assign 2 shinobis to escort me on the way there.. But for me, the more people join the trip, the better the mood is, right.. Ok then, i'll tell you, but first let me light up my cigarette first. (Amado blows the smoke at Kawaki's face)

- Kawaki : Oi what was that for !! (Kawaki felt different suddenly but he couldn't pin point what it is. So he just ignored it and focus's on Amado)

- Amado : Haha come on, i'm just fooling around, try to loosen up a bit while enjoying the sunset.

- Kawaki : huuhhh (sigh)

- Amado : Now then, they've only managed to create A prototype so far, but it sounds promising.

- Kawaki : Why is that?

- Amado : Because all the feudal lords from the 5 big nations approved it with just 1 meeting. I suspect there must be something else going on behind the scenes too. Anyways, from what I've heard, it possesed 3 cores, basically like a heart. 2 of the hearts are a decoy & trap. The other 1 is the real thing & its located in between the other 2 hearts. To shut it down or kill it for good, you need to destroy the real heart. (FROM WRITER : THIS INTEL IS IMPORTANT FOR FUTURE EVENT)

- Kawaki : Well then, that makes it easier for me. I just need to destroy the middle heart.

- Amado : But there's a caviat with that.

- Kawaki : huh?

- Amado : The tricky part is that those 3 hearts are able to swap positions. Which makes it more complicated. If you destroy the wrong heart, you'll be done for good. It will automatically release a kunai chain to stab you & the 2nd trap will pull you in hence, sealing you inside it for good. The kunai chains are attracted by chakra. So no matter how slick you try to evade, it will still hunt you down until it stabs you. Plus, it also blocks all dojutsu from being able to see the heart & detect the real one. So your dharmagan won't work. Only the cyborg itself is able to determine & allow who's able to see its heart by sharing its chakra with the person (FROM WRITER : THIS INTEL IS IMPORTANT FOR FUTURE EVENT) .. It would be a miracle if you're able to pull that off. So if one day you have to fight it, don't be reckless. Be strategic.

- Kawaki : This sounds to good to be true. How did you manage to get all of this intel ???

- Amado : The content of the book is more important than the cover itself. (Meaning the main intel is more important than where the source came from)

- Kawaki : Tsst, you've always made people think suspiciously of you.

- Amado : Well, if you don't think suspiciously of me, then you're not going too. Sunset is over. What a beautiful sight. Get some rest, tomorrow's a big day. Meet me at the main gate tomorrow morning.

- Kawaki : What're we investigating there?

- Amado : According to Sai, A traveller reported to have uncovered something technologically advanced that stuck in the cave wall. So Shikamaru ordered me to go there and have a look if that thing is one of mine since i told him a long time ago i've created several cyborgs to kill Jigen, But he ordered Boro to take them away to be scrapped.
