Chapter 30

Eli's P.O.V.
Each day I have waken up I have done something for Harper. I called her each morning and leave messages on her phone. I write her letters and leave them at her office, house, on her car. I ordered for a bouquet of hydrangeas each day, which are her favorite flowers. I just want my love back. In each letter I pour my heart out.
I am on Day 4 now. I sent the roses so its now time for call. The phone rang all the way through.  "Hey its Harper can't come to the phone right now. Leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Have an awesome day!!" She said on her voicemail
"Its Eli again read my notes. Hope you love the hydrangeas that I send each day. I remembered those were your favorite flowers. I love you" I said before hanging up
Later that night
Harper's P.O.V.
I was in my bedroom watching Martin. I was playing an iPhone game and just hanging out. Then i kept hearing a tip tap on my window. I go look outside the window and see its Eli. I opened the window.
"What do you think your doing?" I asked
"Winning you back" he said
"By throwing rocks at my window?" I questioned
"It worked for me in high school" he said
"Well we are not in high school and it's not going to work for your now" I said closing the window
I went and got back in the bed and I kept hearing pit pat on my window for about 15 minutes. I got back up and went to the window.
"What do you I have to do to get rid of you?" I asked
"Come to the park with me" he said
"Now?!" I asked
"Yes right now" he replied
I shut the window and went back and out on some nike sweats and a black half zip. I ran down stairs with my phone and keys. I ran outside and Eli standing there with another bouquet of hydrangeas.
"These are for you my love" he said handing them to me
I smiled because I love hydrangeas
"Let's go" I said
We decided to walk to the park its around the corner from my house.
"Harper I am so sorry, I didn't meant for any of this to happen." he said
"I know but it did Eli. Its just i have been hurt so many times. Its hard for me to trust men. My father has never been really in my life. He has always been in and out. And then now especially with my mother fake dying just added to the flame. I was engaged to be married to a man I was head over heels with and i caught him cheating. And then found out he was cheating with several women on me." I said
"But I'm not like that babe, I love you. I changed my ways for you which I have never ever done in my life." he said
"When I found out that she did this only a person that wants someone would do something like that. I wanted to just save myself from planning an entire wedding losing out on money and then for you to just leave me. I decided to save myself hurt I did what was comfortable for me." I said
"Which is what?" He asked
"To distance myself from you. Give her what she wants. Because I am not going to be fighting and going back and forth for you." I said
"Harper I love you. If I fight for you and if I tell you that I am with you, I am in it for the long haul. I want you no one else. I want your love, your body, your heart." he said
"But Eli I need you to understand me. Understand how I feel. My heart has been broken multiple times and I need you just to understand. I want you to continue this. When I fight back I want you to fight harder for me. Because I know I will sabotage this so I can avoid heart break." I said
"I promise" he said
We stopped and he pulled out a ring box.
"Well I do have a question for you. Harper will you marry me?" he asked after getting down on one knee
"Yes I will" I said
He put the ring back on my finger.
"Im so glad to have you back in my arms" he said and kissed me again
"Same here but I love hydrangeas but I do not need another batch of them for a long time." I said
"Ok how about roses?" He said
"Perfect" I responded
We both laughed and walked back to my house.
