Mia's P.O.V.
I took a deep breath and put my pen down.
I'm done with my exams at last!
I looked at my wristwatch and saw that I still have 15 minutes before my freshman year ends. I glanced at Carson. He was done too. I gave him a smile and he gave me a smirk.
...'KAY!
I rolled my eyes and he gave me an inaudible chuckle. Taking one last review on my paper, I faced it down and on cue, the bell rang and everyone cheered.
With a relieved grin on my face, I grabbed my shoulder bag. I was so happy and distracted, I didn't notice Carson, so we bumped into each other which made me giggle.
He had his hands in the pockets of his jeans, and he gave me a smile. "Let's go out and celebrate."
I had a smirk on my face. "And what do you have in mind?"
"A glass of bubbly at my place. I'll do the cooking this time."
"Okay. Sure."
He lets out a chuckle and held my waist. We walked out of the school and I'm glad he took his Audi R8 rather than his BMW.
At the parking lot, we said goodbye to our friends and we hopped in the car. He let the cover down and he handed my pair of Ray-Ban.
"Beautiful weather we have today." I said, brushing my hair with my fingers.
He puts his shades on and started the engine. "But not as beautiful as you." he smirked.
Good thing I looked away. My cheeks turned bright red. Will he ever stop telling me that? My heart says, no.
His car ran at a good 60 Kph. There was no traffic at sight, it was that perfect.
When we were at the elevator, on the way to his penthouse, I have to keep myself from laughing, because when we reached the 23rd floor, there was an old lady who was wearing pink all over. She even dyed her hair pink. Glancing at Carson, he was also keeping himself from laughing. He bit his lip and keeps his eyes on the floor.
When the lady left the elevator, Carson and I just couldn't help it. We bursted out our laughter, good thing we were the only people inside the elevator. The elevator dinged, signaling us that we were at his floor already.
We entered his penthouse, still laughing. I went towards the sofa, took off my shoes and stockings, and threw myself on the sofa, while Carson was busy in the kitchen.
After taking off my stockings, I threw them on my shoes, and Carson came in the living room holding a bottle of chilled champagne and two champagne flutes.
He sat beside me and popped the bottle open. He poured the champagne in the glasses and gave me one.
I raised my glass. "A toast, to another school year."
"To starting the greatest summer vacation."
"To having fun."
"To our results later."
"To love."
Our glasses clinked and we sipped the cool, crisp and fruity beverage. Mm. This is the best champagne I've ever tasted.
"Like it?" he asked me.
"Yes!"
"It's 'Moet and Chandon Champagne White Star."
