Monique's P.O.V.
My fingers rubbed my temple while Carson and Cole were fighting like cats and dogs. Did I mention that I was the wall?
"I deserve it!" Cole barked.
"Not gonna happen, old sport." Carson replies.
Why did it have to go like this?!
--flashback--
I opened the window to my dressing room and saw the people who watched the show and I saw that they were waiting for me to show up. Good thing I thought of doing it.
"Look, it's Mia!" a female voice shouted and everyone was tilting their heads to see me. Some got their cameras and phones to take pictures of me. This is home. They all know me by the name Mia and not Monique even if I insist on it.
Seeing everyone outside made me smile. I put on the biggest smile I could produce and started waving at the crowd. I feel like Sierra Boggess right now.
Despite that I was in my official Phantom robe, and my natural hair was down instead of a wig, I found myself somewhat presentable somehow. I really should get ready for the after party, but a few minutes here won't hurt, right?
A knock came through my door and I bid everyone goodbye. With a final flying kiss, I closed the window and pulled down the curtain. I opened the door to see Anne carrying my dress that was still in a dress hanger.
"Why aren't you preparing?!" I just noticed Anne having a head of rollers, in a robe also. But she has her makeup on already.
"I had to say hi to the fans outside. I really want to let them say that what they spent on was worth it. So, I surprised them by showing myself on the window waving at them." I really should start preparing.
"Feeling like the Queen of England, darling?" she asked in an English accent.
"Most likely." I chuckled as I held the dress hanger. "So, the dress...?"
"You're dress is gorgeous, don't bother." Anne folded her arms on her chest.
"Where's Ma-an, by the way?" Ma-an designed my dress for tonight. She's my designer now. Ma-an has her own couture boutique now. She has a partnership with Pnina Tornai and with her generosity, Ma-an started her own business.
"She's on her way. Three...two..." Anne pointed at the door and on cue, a knock was there again. Anne opened the door to reveal Ma-an, who was almost jumping up and down to put me in a dress.
"An Audrey Hepburn arrives." I gave her a hug.
"I know, my LBD." she twirled to show me her black dress that fitted her curves perfectly.
"And the Mama is still hot after childbirth. Girl, I don't know how you did it. You looked like a whale when you were preggo."
"Jessica Anne Miller Cordova!" I scolded.
Ma-an laughed. "It's alright, Mia. Now let's get you in that dress." she held the hanger and revealed my dress. It was a glittery gold dress. It had spaghetti straps, the bust had these layers of the fabric making my breasts emphasized a bit, the silhouette was a subtle fit and flare, and the back went way down low to my lower back. It was gorgeous.
And yes, Ma-an just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Eloise. Ma-an married Greg. Remember Greg. Well, they were together since forever. They got married two years ago. And I am a proud godmother of Eloise. She has a godmother who loves to spoil her on some clothes.
At first, I couldn't accept the fact that Ma-an got married and had a baby before me, but I just realized that I was being selfish, but I just can't help but remember mine whenever I see Eloise. She's gorgeous like her mommy. Things do happen for a reason, but I don't know the reason why all this had to happen to me.
