Mia's P.O.V.
No, it can't be! I almost teared up when I saw my parents outside the house.
"Mia! How's my princess doing?" my mom came up and hugged me ever so tightly.
I stammered. "OhmygoshIcan'tbelieveyou'rehere!" I said as fast as I can and hugged them both.
"I missed you, babycakes." dad kissed my head.
"I'm not three anymore, dad."
"You'll always be my baby girl. You know that." he chuckled.
While they were still settling in, I checked my phone to check if Carson texted me. He practically flooded my phone.
'Hey, babe. You didn't text back. You okay? <3'
'Lunch is a bit boring...because you're not here XD'
'Told mom and Dave about you. They said I'll bring you here sometime :)'
'Is there something wrong? :('
I can't help but reply back.
'Hi baby! Yeah I'm okay :D Great actually. Mom and Dad surprised me today by showing up on the front doors! I'll let you meet them soon! Can you come by later? Love you xxx Btw, you're second text is so cheesy :P'
I threw my phone on the bed and I started pacing, waiting for his reply. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'm excited to have my parents meet Carson and him meeting them. But I don't know how will they react.
Ugh! Relax, Mia. Remember that they already liked him.
Oh. Gosh. My nerves are killing me!
My phone began to vibrate which meant someone was calling. Yup, it's him.
"Hey, Carson! Sorry for not replying. I was just overwhelmed."
"It's okay. I was just worried."
"So, can you come later?"
"I can't. I'm still gonna be here later. Sorry, Love."
"It's okay. But you have to meet them one time."
"Sure. You too. They also wanna meet the girl that I saved at the mall."
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "You're making it sound like I was dying."
"Well, you almost fell on your back that will cause your head to also fall back and will cause internal bleeding."
"Nerd."
"And if I didn't save you, I wouldn't have a girlfriend baking me those delicious cookies on our monthsary. And I know she swore to do them every month."
Here he goes talking about my cookies. On our first monthsary, I baked some cookies. We never gave each other gifts. We treated it like a normal day. We just ate somewhere more special than the usual. That's all.
I rarely bake cookies so whenever I bake them, it either means that you're special and there's an occasion to be celebrated or I was just in a really good mood.
"There are still some here. Come over before Jessica finds out where I hid them." yes, Jessica is obsessed with them. One time when she found out, she was like Gollum hiding Frodo's ring.
"No can do, babe."
"So, tomorrow?"
"I don't know. They said that they still need me tomorrow. I'll just text you."
