Mia's P.O.V.
"That's so sweet!"
"I know!"
"OMG! Can we see it?"
"Later in my room."
"Can't wait to see it!"
"He didn't add a charm this time?"
"It's way better than a charm!"
Yes. I had my girls with me. We haven't spent a day together during Christmas Break. Today is December 30. I'm in our living room, catching up with my girls. We were just waiting for a few more minutes 'til my parents come back.
I asked them to come with me. I need to find a dress for tomorrow. Carson's family is having a New Year's Eve party and I want to make a good impression especially that many important people will be there.
My parents finally came and all of the girls raced their way to my room, leaving me sitting on the sofa.
"Told them?" dad asked.
I nodded. "Yep." popping the P.
"Do they--"
"No they don't." I looked at my wristwatch that Helena and Dave gave me. "3...2..."
And on cue, I heard a thud and a few groans from upstairs. "Just in time. I'd better check up on them."
I went upstairs to find them all lying on the floor, rubbing their heads. I got my key and unlocked the doors.
"You lock up your room?" Ana rubbed her temple.
I heard the lock click. "Only for today."
"WHY?!"
"Don't make me deaf!"
"But, Mia..."
I opened the doors and gestured for them to come inside. They got up as quickly as they can and jumped on my bed, causing all of the pillows to fall down and my comforter crinkled. They hovered over the picture frame and I heard them aw.
"No touchy my picture frame and I'm glad that all of you volunteered to make my bed again."
"Mia, this is beautiful!"
"OMG, Mia. Read the engravement for us please!"
Seriously? Don't they know how? I just rolled my eyes and finally agreed to read it out loud. I can't help but get teary-eyed while reading it. I always do. I still remember it like it was still December 24.
After reading it another time in my head, I saw them all grinning at me. This is awkward.
"What?" and they were still smiling.
"We've got something for you, Mia." Kate said and walked up to the door. "Wait here. I'm just gonna get it downstairs."
"Girls, I said no gifts!"
"You don't need to give us anything, Mia. You're happiness is enough." Ma-an said.
"I'm baaaaaack!" Kate shouted up holding a plate but it had a cover on.
The girls started to make me sit down and I just let them. But I started to get nervous when they added a blindfolding session.
"Open up, Mia. Don't worry, it's edible."
