 Mia's P.O.V.

"Congratulations!"

"Well done, you two! We're so proud!"

"Mia, can you tutor me?"

"Sure, Jessica."

So, dinner at the mansion with Carson's parents. They've been congratulating us for the past 5 hours, whether on the phone or when they see you. I'm at the dinner table but Carson, up to now, is not.

I'm getting worried.

"Uh, excuse me...but I need to check on how Carson is doing." I said getting up.

"Of course, dear but hurry up." Helena smiled.

I smiled back at her, and I searched the whole mansion just looking for him.

I finally saw him at the backyard. He was on the phone with someone. Who was he talking to? It seemed really serious.

"Yes, do whatever it takes...yes...is it safe here?"

Safe where?!

"NO!"

What now?

"When did she purchase them?...can she even do that? Is that even possible?...how?...yes, we'll be careful...okay...thanks, man." he pressed off and turned around. He was surprised to see me.

"...was it about her?" I asked before he could even say anything.

He came closer and gave me a hug. He buried his nose in my hair, and he inhaled deeply. "...yeah. I'm sorry." he whispered.

Carson's P.O.V.

After hearing what Dylan said on the phone scared the crap out of me.

Claire has recently purchased two licensed guns at her hometown.

Right now, she's out of the country, but Dylan said that she knew about Mia and me. Our relationship. Everything.

When I saw Mia, I was drained. Seeing her made me build my strength. She's my strength, my life now.

I was also afraid. How will I tell her? I just need her right now. I gave her a tight hug, and I buried my face in her hair.

Oh, I love her scent. I love everything about her.

She regained my strength, but I was still unsure. I started to open my mouth and just talk.

"Was it about her?" her question surprised me. She was there when I was on the phone?

Inhaling her scent again, I began to speak. "...yeah. I'm sorry."

She hugged me tighter. "What are you sorry about?"

Oh, Mia.

I said nothing. I kissed her temple and put my arm around her shoulder, and we walked inside.

She wrapped her arms around my torso. "There's something you're not telling me." she muttered.

"Not now. We should be happy. We are celebrating. No need to ruin our night." which I meant.

"Okay." she whispered, and flashed her sweet smile.

"...I love you" I whispered in her ear.

She released her grip on me so I did the same, and she was now facing me. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and mine around her waist .
