Mia's P.O.V.
"Okay...why are we throwing this party again?" I asked mom.
"It's already a tradition, Mia." she said while looking through some red gowns.
"So everything's gonna be red and puffy everywhere?"
I'm not a party pooper, believe me. I'm just not in the mood because I can't contact Carson for two days already. Two lonely and painful days without him beside me. Not even a simple text from him.
I miss him so much.
"Why so bitter today, Mia? Did Mrs. Gertrude add anything bitter in your food?" she joked.
"No, I did!" Jessica played along.
"You need to cool down and relax Mia." mom said.
I rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone. Still no text from him. I grunted and shoved my IPhone in my purse. Mom and Jessica looked at each other, and Jessica giggled.
"What's so funny?" I asked them bitterly.
Jessica still wore an amused face. "Don't you have afternoon class today, Mia?"
Shoot! I forgot! I have an afternoon class today! Why did I forget? Oh yeah, mom and Jessica invited me to get dresses for tonight. Who would buy dresses this morning when the event's tonight?
I checked my wristwatch to see that I only have 40 minutes for me to get to class. I said my goodbye's to mom and Jessica and I slid inside my silver Porsche Panamera and drove my way to school.
When I got to the school car park, I parked my car near the main entrance. I quickly grabbed my shoulder bag and I heard my car beep since I locked it.
As I entered, Eliza came to my direction and handed me a Grande Java Chip with chocolate syrup and cinnamon from Starbucks. Weird. How did she know my drink and extras?
"Good afternoon, Mia." she greeted me with a warm smile as I showed my iced look.
"Thanks and please, Eliza, I'm gonna be late for--"
"No, you're not gonna be late." she stalled me.
"Look, Eliza, I have to go to class." I stepped forward but she blocked me.
"Come on, Mia. I have to show you something." she grabbed my wrist and began to drag me.
"Please don't tell me I have gifts from 'secret admirers'!" yes. I'm no longer single but there ARE still many hopefuls. Tough crowd.
Eliza dragged me from the main building to the next. When we reached the Education department, I saw some of my classmates outside and wandering in the halls.
"Wait here." Eliza said, placing me in one corner. What the heck?!
I was starting to get impatient when a red-head came to me and handed me a rose. A pale pink rose. Just the way I like them.
"Hi, Mia. Come follow me." she handed me the flower and I followed her.
We walked a few feet when another girl was standing, holding another rose in her hand and I followed her. This went on until I had my hands full, as in FULL, with light pink roses. They told me to walk straight forward until I got to the school park, where I saw red rose petals on the pathway.
