 Mia's P.O.V.

"Hurry up, Carson. I'm blaming you if we're late on the first day!"

"Relax. We're early. VERY early." he calmly told me as he drove.

"It's the first day--"

"And we're early. You just need to calm down." he held my hand and kissed my knuckles, not removing his eyes on the road.

It's our first day of work and I'm very excited. Carson and I applied at the same public high school. As I said before, I wanted to start small even though I graduated as Suma Cum Laude. Another reason is that, the school was very desperate in employing teachers.

I will never forget that day with the principal...

"We are honored to have you both, Miss Cordova and Mr. Pierce." Mr. Hampton, the principal, said with glee as he was looking at our resumes.

A soft smile went to my lips, and Carson had a grin on his.

"Unfortunately..." he stacks our resumes to another pile of paperwork.

I got nervous and my body started to shake. "B-but...is there something wrong with our application forms? O-o-our school records and report cards are all here and--"

"No, Miss Cordova." the principal chuckled. "What I meant is that I'd hire you both."

I sighed in relief and leaned back on my chair. When I eyed Carson, we started to laugh.

"...in one condition."we stopped laughing and all of our attention was on Mr. Hampton. "We are lacking teachers for Music, Arts, Physical Education, Health, and Drama. I would love to hire you both, if you would also teach me one of these subjects."

Oh, dear.

Carson and I were walking down the hall in the school we now work on. Wow, so this is what public schools are like? Not that I'm making them look bad, but...well, I've never entered one that's all.

Okay, Shut up, Mia.

"It sucks that our classrooms are far from each other." Carson said as I reached my classroom.

I rolled my eyes. "Stop complaining like a little girl, you are far worse than Jessica."

"Still a shame though."

"Shut up, Carson." I rolled my eyes and opened the door to my classroom.

"Don't you wanna see your office first?" he asked, making me turn.

"Maybe later. Are they spacious?" oh, great. I have an office here and at Cordova Inc.?

"Yeah, you're walking to it right now." huh?

"I'm going to my classroom." I whispered, poking at the door.

"Exactly." he winked at me.

"Carson, please." I chuckled.

"Good luck, baby." he whispered before walking into his own classroom.

Carson and his sense of humor. Shaking my head to erase those thoughts, I entered the classroom with a stupid grin on my face. Upon entering the room, I began to savor each second that I was inside it. I just hope that first day will be amazing.
