Mia's P.O.V.
"Are you sure you have everything, Mia?" mom came inside my room.
I zipped my suitcase close and my hands went to my waist. "Yup. That's about it." I sighed and sat at the edge of my bed.
Mom sat down beside me and started stroking my hair. "The mansion will be quiet." she muttered.
I laughed so hard when she said that. "Mom, you're just gonna miss me!" I joked and gave her a bear hug.
"I know! It's like my daughter is going to her honeymoon already!"
Blushing, I pulled away. "Woah! Chillax, mom! There is really no need to rush in things." I stood up and faced the mirror. "And there is no guarantee--"
"Mia..." she stood beside me and placed her hands on my shoulders. "What are you talking about, Little Lottie?" now she calls me that. Great. She wants to talk.
I closed my eyes and sighed. "Mom..."
"Do you believe in the phrase, 'one true love'?"
I slowly opened my eyes and nodded as a reply, and she smiled.
"...because that is what I see in both of you. From two 5-year-olds, to two very mature teenagers who are still very much in love."
I still can't believe that happened to us. "Mom, how can a 5-year-old be in love? Isn't that a bit immature?"
She ran her hand through my natural soft curls and smiled again. "Love has no boundaries and age is just a number." (A/N: thanks for the advice/line xFireBurnsx! Love you!)
I chuckled. I'm having that 'mother-daughter conversation' already. Great...not.
"...I just know it when I see it." she added. Remember when you told me that he wasn't your boyfriend, and I told you that he will be?"
"Yes..." I smiled nervously. What is my mom up to?
"And it turned out to be, right? He asked you to be his girlfriend that same day..."
"Yeah, you could say that." I went back to my suitcase just to make sure it was really secured.
She sat down on my bed and crossed her legs. Her elbow was on her thigh and her chin rested on her palm. "Let me be the first to say that he'll be your husband and--"
"MOM!" I cut her off before she could say more.
"What? I told you before that he'll be your boyfriend...and it happened!" her voice was enthusiastic.
"Mom, I get it! You want us to be together until the end."
"Well, that's what you both say to each other, right?"
I blushed just thinking of those times we say it to each other. Especially that night. That night when I said my yes to him.
'I love you 'til the end.'
Those words. That promise.
"Mia?" my head snapped toward my mom and she has her arms wide open.
I ran to her and hugged her. She kissed my temple and pulled away.
"You sure you have everything?"
I grinned. "Yes, ma'am."
"That's my girl."
