Chapter 3

Four's POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I turn it off and see that it's just 7:45, the hour I usually wake up, because I have to be at the control room at 9 o'clock, but I do not work there anymore, I am a leader now.

Then it hits me...

The meeting!! I have to be there at 8 o'clock.

I dash towards the bathroom and take a quick shower while brushing my teeth. I get out of my three minutes shower and put on my clothes which consist in a black T-shirt, jeans and a pair of simple shoes. I quickly comb my hair and run towards the meeting room, hoping to get there on time.

I run, everyone in the hall step apart to let me pass, another adventage of being a dauntless prodigy.

Now I am standing outside the door where the other leaders are reunited. I take a minute to even my breath and go in.

Inside all the seats are ocuppied by the leaders except for 2.

I recognize all of them: Max, the main leader.

Harrison, a good fighter.

And Eric, the douchebag ex-erudite.

- Good morning - Max says towards me then turns to the others - Everybody this is the new leader, Four.

Harrison sends me a smile and Eric a glare. I take my seat and lace my fingers together, waiting for the reunion to begin.

Five minutes later I am about to ask what are we waiting for when the door bursts open and a girl comes in.

She is short but not too much, her hair is  blonde and falls all the way to her waist, the tips of it are dyed blue. She is wearing high heels, black shorts and a shirt withouth sleeves with a leather jacket on. Her clothes are covered in mud and dust.

She is panting, her grey blue eyes rest on me for a moment then look at Max. She has her left ear completely pierced and a ring piercing in her left nasal fose.

- Nice of you to join us - Max says.

- Sorry - She says once she has caught her breath - but I just got to the compound.

Max nods in aknowledge and she takes the sit that's next to me, then I realize she is the other leader.

- So what did I miss? - She asks, a small smile playing on her sexy lips.

I shake my head at the thought and discover myself wondering how would it feel to kiss those lips.

- Nothing, this meeting is about the news you bring from abnegation, without you we couldn't have done anything - Max says. I jump a little at the mention of my old faction and nobody seems to notice except for the only female leader.

- You are right - She says, I still don't know her name - Well there's a problem between abnegation and erudite. Abnegation fears war so they called us to ask to make sure everything is fine since Candor would be too rude and Amity doesn't take sides, so we were the last option.

They continue to discuss the topic but I can't focus on anything that isn't the blonde nameless girl beside me.

- Well, we could change some aspects of the factions' initiations until we all are in agreement with eachother - Harrison says. Eric nods and I do the same, even though I have no Idea what they are talking about.

- Well, Tris, you are going to travel to all the factions and ask them what we should change about initiation, only giving them briefs ideas, remember that dauntless initiation is a secret.

The girl next to me that now has a name, Tris, nods, but I can see she doesn't like the idea at all.

- Then, since Four is in charge of that area, you two will work together.

Tris looks at me for a moment, nods, and turns her back towards me, for some reason this angers me, but I stay emotionless on the outside.

- Tell us, Tris - begins Eric - Why are your clothes covered in mud?

- Oh - She blushes - I was running late to the meeting so as soon as the compound came into view, I jumped. The train hadn't slowed down so I felt to the ground.

Harrison looks at her in worry, inspecting her for any wound. I do the same and find myself staring at a tattoo on her collarbone of three ravens.

- What are you looking at? - She snaps at me, folding her arms over her chest. I turn bright red at her insinuation.

- Emm, your tattoo! - I say, maybe a little bit to quickly out of nerves.

- Yeah right - Eric says, chuckling.

Tris stands up, waves, and leaves the room.

Wow

That's all I can think.
