"Bucky!" you whined. You entered the kitchen to find him sat at the table eating breakfast while looking at his phone. He faced you when you came in.

"No, no, no, no-"

"We're out of cold medicine" you pouted.

"When did you get sick!" Bucky moaned.

"It's Steve's fault" you said as you went to sit in the chair next to him. "Can you buy cold medicine while I'm at school?"

Bucky leaned over and pressed the back of his hand against your forehead. He scoffed. "You're not going to school."

"Uh, yes I am."

"Not when you've got a cold."

"That's not a reason not to go!"

"Yes it is. You don't want to get everyone else sick, and you'll recover faster at home. Go get back into pyjamas."

"No! I can't miss school! I have basketball practice later! I need to go!"

"Well I'm not driving you."

"Fine" you took out your phone. "I'll tell Peter to pick me up."

Bucky snatched it out your hands. "No you won't."

"Hey! Give that back!"

Bucky stood up as you tried to grab it. He held his arm in the air to keep it out of your reach.

"Bucky! Give me my phone!"

"No, you're not going."

"Bucky!"

"No."

"Ugh! I hate you!" You stormed off to your room.

Bucky sighed and sat back down at the table. He finished his breakfast, put his plate in the sink, then went to see you. He caught you leaving your room, bag in hand.

"And what do you think you're doing?"

"I'm walking to school" you declared and marched past him.

You reached the door and tried to swing it open, but it was shut again immediately as Bucky leaned his hand on it. You turned and looked up at him in frustration.

"Why can't you be normal and enjoy the fact that you don't have to go to school?"

"Why can't you just let me go!"

"Because."

"That's not a reason!"

"Go to bed. Stay there. Don't make me lock you in your room."

You cried out with annoyance and returned to your room, stamping on Bucky's foot on your way. You kicked open your door, threw your bag at the wall and collapsed on your bed. You madly folded your arms across your chest and pouted like a child as you stared at the wall opposite you.

Bucky came to see you only ten minutes later. You didn't move as he walked in and placed two teas on your bedside table.

"I'm going to pick up some cold medicine. If you're not still here when I get back, you are so dead. Understand?"

You glared at him.

"Are you at least gonna say thank you for the teas?"

You looked away again.

"Fine. I'll be back soon."

He headed for the door.

"Thank you" you mumbled.

"What was that?"

"I said thank you."

Bucky smiled smugly. "You're welcome... I'll be back soon."
