Bucky unlocked the door of your apartment, and you stepped through first. You took a deep breath. A look of disgust crossed your face.
"It stinks."
"No one's been home for a week. Feel free to clean."
"No..." You took a step in so Bucky could come in behind you. He shut the door. "It's also freezing."
"Put a hoodie on."
You rolled your eyes and walked off to your room.
Bucky went to the kitchen. He spent ten or so minutes making lunch for the pair of you: a couple of sandwiches each and a large chocolate bar to share. He went to your room, but paused outside the door when he heard you talking. You were on the phone.
"Mhm... yeah, me too..."
You'd heard Bucky's footsteps approaching, so you knew he was listening in.
"Um, I've got to go but I'll call you later... okay... bye... I love you too."
Bucky listened for a moment longer, unaware that you'd hung up the phone.
"You can come in now" you called.
He pushed open the door and went to sit on your bed beside you. "Who was on the phone?"
"Why were you eavesdropping?"
"Was it Peter?"
"Why do you want to know?"
"Because."
"Yes, it was Peter."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Hm."
"What?"
"I don't believe you."
"Okay" you laughed and snatched the sandwich he was about to take a bite of.
"Little bitch. I literally made you your own."
"Yeah but I want this one" you explained, your mouth full of his food.
"They're the exact same."
"This one's bigger."
"Oh whatever." Bucky bit into the other sandwich. He spoke again, but he had too much food for it to be comprehensible.
"What?" you giggled. "I did not understand a single word you just said."
He swallowed. "I said... what do you want to do in spring break?"
"Uh... I don't know" you lied.
"Yes, you do. Come on, what are your ideas?"
"They're not affordable."
"Tell me, and we'll think of something."
"Okay. Let's travel around Europe."
"Are you kidding me? That's so expensive!"
"But you said-"
"I know" Bucky laughed. "I'm kidding. What else?"
"Um... ooh let's go to Disneyland!"
"Maybe. Which one?"
"One of the not America ones. Like Paris!"
"You really don't want to stay in the country do you?"
"That's so boring!"
"That's what's cheaper."
"Ugh. I warned you."
