Chapter Thirty-Two

Bucky got to the school and asked to see the principal. He was taken to his office as requested, and they sat down for a meeting.

"Hello, Mr Barnes" the principal greeted him. "How, uh, how is everything? Is y/n okay?"

"Yeah, she's home now. She's recovering."

"That's good... yeah... good... who were those people? And- and are they coming back?"

"Hydra should have no reason to come back and or cause any harm to students or faculty."

"What about when y/n comes back to school? When is she coming back?"

"I don't know yet. Not for a little while... you know, I actually just stopped by to find her phone."

"Ah yes, I have that here" he opened the top drawer of his desk and took out your phone. He handed it to Bucky, who put it in his pocket.

"Thanks."

"No problem... Mr Barnes, if there is anything you need, anything I can do... you know where to find me."

"Okay. Thank you."

"Like, seriously. You're an Avenger. I will do anything you want. Can I... can I have a selfie?"

"Okay, this conversation is over" Bucky stood up and walked out. He was on his way out the school when the bell rang for the end of the day. He got out to the car park around the same time the rest of the students did. He spotted one in particular.

"Hey, Pete" Bucky called. Peter smiled and jogged over.

"Hey, Bucky, what are you doing here?"

"Picking up y/n's phone. You're back at school already?"

"Yeah, I came back today. Didn't really have a reason not to; my wound has already healed."

"Okay, that's good."

"How's y/n?"

"She's feeling better. Do you wanna come see her for a bit?"

"Now?"

"Yeah, I can call May for you."

"Yeah, okay."

They walked over and got in Bucky's car. Bucky called May; she said it was fine as long as he was home before nine.

"So" Bucky said once he'd started the car. "It's Wednesday."

"Mhm. So?"

"Wanna go to Mr Delmar's? We'll pick up some sandwiches?"

"Absolutely."

"Okay, I got the phone..."

"Yay!" you stopped painting Natasha's nails and snatched your phone back.

"... and I picked up a few other things too."

"Hey y/n/n."

"Peter! You're back! What are you- are those from Mr Delmar's!"

"It's good to see you."

"Peter! Are those from Mr Delmar's!"

"Yes" he chuckled and tossed you two of eight sandwiches in the bag he was holding. As Peter passed Bucky and Nat their sandwiches, you took a large bite of your own.

"Oh, god."

"Hey, I thought I was the only one that could make you moan like that" Peter said, sitting down next to you.
