Dinner had been about six o'clock. You argued with Bucky and ran off at about quarter to seven. Almost an hour and a half later, just after eight, Bucky wanted to try and talk to you again. He went to your room, carrying a couple of teas and a chocolate bar. When he got there, he put the chocolate bar in his pocket so he could knock on the door. He mostly expected that you wouldn't answer so he opened it himself. He frowned confusedly at the empty room.
He placed the teas down on your bedside table and walked back outside the room.
"Jarvis, where's y/n gone?"
"Miss Barnes has left the compound."
"What!"
"Miss Barnes left eighty-two minutes ago."
"God... FUCK!" Bucky kicked the wall next to him. He'd created a large dent but didn't pay any attention as he ran off. He didn't know where he was going until he ended up in the living room, where he found some company.
"Hey Bucky" May smiled.
"You alright Buck?" Steve asked.
Natasha stood up from the couch and wrapped her arms around him. She lightly kissed him on his lips before letting him see her concern. "You look stressed, baby. What's going on?" Bucky was looking over her shoulder so she placed a hand on his cheek to get him look at her. "Bucky?"
"Y/n left."
Nat took a step back. She picked up Bucky's hands as she looked at him. "What do you mean she left? Like she left the compound?"
"Why?" May questioned.
"She knows about the apartment?" Steve assumed.
"Yeah she knows and she's upset because all I fucking do is upset her! And now she's run off and she's on her own and something could happen to her and I'm not there to make sure she's okay-"
"Okay, Bucky, breathe" Nat spoke softly. She squeezed his hands in hers. "We'll find her, don't worry."
"Wait, what is she upset about?" May asked.
"We're moving out the apartment. I didn't tell her" Bucky explained. "So she got mad at me and now she's gone."
"Well, she's mad about the apartment. She's probably gone there" Steve suggested.
"Yeah, that still doesn't calm me down. We're nowhere near the city. She'd be walking for at least an hour, maybe two. It's late in the evening. It's dark. What if something happens?"
"Okay, no more what if" Nat said. "Stop thinking of all these possibilities and go see. The sooner you find her, the sooner we can solve the problem. Go to the apartment, and call us when you get there." She gave him a kiss on the cheek. He nodded at her and turned to go.
Bucky got out into the hallway but paused when he realised someone was following him. He looked back to see May approaching him.
"Do you want me to come with you?" she offered.
He hesitated. He was considering it. He shook his head.
"Sure? I don't mind."
"No, it's okay. I'll talk to her."
"Okay, Bucky. Make sure you're just talking, alright?"
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm not mad. I'm worried about her. I want her to be safe."
"She will be as soon as you get to her. Call me when you can."
"I will, May. Thanks."
"Bye Bucky."
