"Flash! You suck!"

"Mr Wilson, y/n's being mean again!"

"Oh boohoo!"

"Y/n, be nice."

"It's constructive criticism!"

"There is nothing constructive about that, it's just criticism" Flash complained.

It was after school on Friday. You were in the gym, coaching the boys basketball team as you did every week. Peter was sitting on the bleachers reading, waiting to go back to yours for dinner.

"If you won't take my advice, don't talk to me."

"It's not advice!"

"Okay. Then here's some advice. Quit the team!"

"You quit!"

"No because I'm actually doing something worth while. I'm trying to coach this sorry excuse for a team so you can actually win for once."

"I don't see you doing much coaching!"

"You wanna see coaching? Run twenty laps. Go!"

"No."

You blew a whistle in his face.

"I'm not-"

You did it again.

"I-"

And again.

"Ugh!"

And three times more before he gave in and ran off.

"If you so much as slow down, we'll play dodgeball instead. Everyone versus you."

You gave the rest of the team training exercises to do. As you supervised them, and shouted at them, Peter couldn't help but be distracted from his book by all the noise. He put it down and walked down to stand next to you.

"Cmon! Five year olds can throw a ball better than that!"

"Hey y/n..."

"Hey Pete" you smiled sweetly at him.

"You sure you're not being a little too harsh?"

"Of course not- learn to catch, you fucking moron!"

"Really?"

"Peter, the boys basketball team has won seventy percent more of their games since I started coaching them. My tactics clearly work."

"I honestly think they're afraid of you and what you'll do to them if they fail."

"And that's a good thing" you beamed.

The hour ended and the training finally finished. You handed out chocolate bars and energy drinks to everyone as you did every other week, as it was usually enough to make up for all the criticising.

You and Peter were heading towards the door when unfortunately, Flash ran up in front of you.

"Hey y/n."

"What do you want?"

"So, I think we should both apologise for hurting each others feelings. I'll go first. I'm sorry."

"You didn't hurt my feelings and I'm not apologising."

"Apology accepted. I forgive you."

You rolled your eyes at him.

"Now, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me? I'll take you out for dinner tomorrow night."

"Flash, what did I tell you last time?"
