Chenzi: Up and at 'em, everyone!
Everyone: Ughhhhhhhhhhhh
Chenzi: Come on, we have swimming lessons today!
JW minus Winter: YAY!
Winter: ...does anyone remember what happened last time?
*flashback to August 16*
Tsunami: DETENTION!
*end of flashback*
Chenzi: On second thoughts...
Turtle: Let's just go. I'll teach you all. Swimming is a very important life skill!
Kinkajou: Sure! *bounces along behind him*
Brilliwatcher: *follow them*
Qinter: *goes as fast as they can in the opposite direction*
Chenzi: *SIGH*
Chenzi: *follows Brilliwatcher*
*in the underground lake cave*
Turtle: So. First, you push off from the shore, like so *gracefully glides into the middle of the lake* and then spread your wings and gently push them back and forth. *begins swimming in circles*
JW: *looks at the water doubtfully*
Brilliance: OK! I'll try first.
Moon: Go Bri!
Brilliance: *wades into the water and carefully pushes off*
Brilliance: *goes sailing into the middle of the lake and starts sinking*
Turtle: Quick, spread your wings!
Brilliance: *spreads her wings* I'm doing it!
Moon: *swims after her* Me too!
Chenzi: Huh, this isn't so bad... *swims in circles*
Kinkajou: Turtle?
Turtle: Yeah?
Kinkajou: Can you walk me though the steps again?
Turtle: Sure. *climbs out of the lake* So first, you go in. Then, you push off and glide. Then, you spread your wings.
Kinkajou: OK... *climbs in* Oh, it's cold... *pushes off and spreads her wings* Look! I'm doing it!
Turtle: Yay! Now I'm going to teach you how to dive. So, you want to angle your wingtips down and plunge your head in, then kick super fast and keep your wings close to your body.
JW: *dives in unison then resurfaces to see Tsunami standing on the shore with her mouth open*
Turtle: OK, the swimming lesson is over. Thanks for coming!
Brilliance: *as she's getting out* Tsunami, your brother is a better teacher than you.
Tsunami: *speechless*
