chapter 30

I'm getting ready for the party. I will go over to Ivy's place later and then we'll attend together.

"You look good. Where're you going?", Emilio slips through the bedroom door.

"Thank you and I'll go to a college party with Ivy tonight.", I look at him through the mirror.

"Oh."

"I didn't tell you? Don't worry, I won't drink much and I'm only going to check her boyfriend anyways.", I come at him.

"Shall I drive and pick you up? I'm sure you don't want me there.", he pulls me in.

"Well played Romano, I'll go over to her place now but you can pick me up.", I touch his chest.

"Of course, honey.", he kisses my forehead.

"Alright, I'll text you. Bye, honey."

I took the subway to Ivy and now I'm standing in front of her apartment for 5 minutes.

"Ivy, open the door!", I knock again.

"Gosh, chill girl. I was naked.", she opens the door.

"As if it took you 5 minutes to throw something on, damn seriously. Anyways, what are you wearing?", I settle on the couch.

"I have two options, either I wear this dress or these jeans with this top.", she showed me her options.

"Definitely the dress.", I say without hesitating.

"Really? But I really like this top but the dress is pretty too.", she starts chewing her nails.

"I told you already. You're obviously getting laid and you do not want to wear jeans when you want it.", I nod my head.

"Yea, you're right."

"Of course I am, now get changed. We have to go, I want to go home early tonight."

"What? No one's going home early tonight. C'mon it's a college party, maybe our last one."

"Might be, but you know that I don't enjoy them anyways and there's someone waiting for me at home, you know? And you will be with your boyfriend, so there's no reason to stay."

We arrived 30 minutes later than we intended to but woah there's is such a long line in front of the house.

"What the heck, Ivy. Is this dude rich or something?", I stop walking.

"His dad is.", she says casually.

Why did she freak out when I told her that Emilio is rich but when it's her boyfriend, she says it like it's obvious or a normal thing.

"Hey Jae, yes I'm here. Oh ok."

"He told us to just go in. Usually you need to be on a list or something but we're exclusive.", she starts walking.

"Hey you two, the line starts there.", a guy points into the yard.

"No, they're with me.", Jae pulls Ivy in by her waist.

"Oh Jae, alright.", the guy steps aside.

"Welcome ladies. Drinks are in the kitchen, down the hall on the right. Eliana, do you mind if I talk to her in private for a bit?", he looks at Ivy.

"Sure."

I head towards the kitchen, while Jae pulls Ivy upstairs. This house is already so full, there are people everywhere. And even worse, it reeks of alcohol. The people are already so drunk that they're dancing on tables and just randomly making out. I pour myself a little bit of sex on the beach during the wait. I feel like I'm waiting for a client. Being here is so stressful, I need a little drink.

"Oh here you are.", I see Ivy walking in my direction.

"What'd he say?", I nibble at my drink.

"He said that you're scary and that he doesn't want to do and say anything wrong. He wants to win you over somehow and he asked me for advice."

"He's scared of me? Seriously? Anyways, he doesn't need to do anything in particular. Just show me that you're serious, that this isn't just a hook up and he needs to prove himself honest, loyal with a good heart, but all of that comes over time you know?"

"No offense, sweetie but you can be a serpent sometimes."

"What that's just not true. Okay no, you're right. But tell him what I just said and spend some time with him. Oh, but stay somewhere close I want to watch, don't tell him that though."

"Okay bye sweetie. I'll text you tomorrow."

"Bye."

The party was unbearable. 

Too many people. 

Too much alcohol. 

Too much of everything. 

Ivy and Jae looked good though, they look genuine. I'm not sure of his friends though. They are all immature college fuckboys. They seem to be very popular because it feels like their entire department is here. I've been here for 2 hours now. The only thing happening is drunk people jumping around. Ivy disappeared a little while ago, which hopefully is a good sign. I go outside to get some fresh air when I hear someone following me.
