My phone rings. Yesterday Emilio asked me if I wanted to get up with him to eat breakfast together, and since there was still some food left I agreed. Usually I wouldn't get up earlier to have breakfast because I would rather sleep longer than eat, but I didn't know what to do with the leftovers.

I roll over to Emilio and gently touch his arm.

"Wake up. It's 6am.", he hums and I get out of bed.

I'm always in a bad mood in the morning, so I turn a little music on and start to brush my teeth.

By the time I get out of the bathroom I don't see him anywhere. I walk downstairs and spot him fully dressed in the kitchen preparing our food.

"Hey.", I walk up to him and stroke his back.

"Good morning, honey.", he kisses my cheek.

"You need help?"

"No, just sit down I'll be done in a sec."

"Alright, just say something if you need me.", I go outside and sit down.

I pull my phone out and scroll through social media.

"Et voilà. Sandwiches and Churros. Made by me and mamá.", he presents the food proudly.

"Wow it looks great, but was it clever to change and then stand in the kitchen? What if you smell like food, honey?"

"Oh. Yeah, you're right. But I think the smell will be gone by then and there is something called perfume.", he grins.

"Don't get cocky. I worked in a restaurant, the smell of food and perfume? Not as good as it sounds.", I point my finger at him. This boy. He can't take anything seriously, always getting cocky.

"Alright, alright. I get it, now let's eat. I have to go soon."

We eat peacefully, watching the sun rise when Emilio breaks the silence.

"Do you know what you want to do in the future? Like after you graduate.", I turn my head to look at him.

"Hm. No, not yet. I still have a few months to decide."

"Would you consider working with me?", he says carefully.

"What?", did I hear that right?

"Do you want to work with me?"

"Before I say anything what type of business would I be doing?", I rest my elbows on the table.

"Managing. You could do some overall managing and everything that has to do with foods and drinks, like restaurants, bars, clubs stuff like that."

"You want me to work for you after I graduate?"

"No, not for me. I want my wife to work with me.", he reaches out for my hand and I give it to him.

"How about an internship? You could start an internship and it would be great for your grades too don't you think? Listen, you don't have to do it. It's just an offer if you'd like to do it. If not, that's fine too.", he strokes the back of my hand.

"Actually an internship sounds great. I still need one too, I just didn't do it yet because I didn't know where to do it, but the job, it sounds amazing just let me think about it okay?", I give him a smile.

"Of course.", he looks outside. The sun has come up.
