The flight went smoothly and we're about to land.
"Gosh, Eliana stop.", he laughs at me.
"I can't I'm too nervous.", I've been walking around for the past hour.
"Okay, my family is at home. They're preparing breakfast for us right now."
"Wait, family? Not just your parents?", what did he just say?
"No, Elio and Renzo flew back yesterday."
"Oh no no no no no. Why didn't you tell me? God, there must be more surprises huh?"
"Why is this such a big deal?", he finally looks up from his phone.
"Of course it's a big deal. I thought I'd only meet your parents, now there're your brother and cousin too. I feel like I'm drowning.", I start pacing around again.
"I told you already, but I'll tell you again. Just be yourself. You don't need to impress them in any way. They'll love you either way. Honestly, I fear that I won't be able to see your face during our stay. My mom will totally steal you from me. Now sit down, we're landing."
"I'll just sleep, wake me up when we're there."

"Honey, we're here", he wispers.
He must have carried me into the car after we landed. I grab a bottle of water and take a sip when I realize that we are in front of Emilio's childhood home.
"Wanna go in?", I nod and we get out of the car.
I take a deep breath, Emilio sees me struggling a bit and places his hand on my lower back for support. We start walking towards the house when the door was torn open and a woman ran straight at us. She jumped at me, hugged me tightly and I returned the hug.
"Hello sweetheart, it's so nice to finally meet you. I was so excited, I couldn't even sleep last night.", she releases me and turns to her son.
"Aw my son, we haven't seen each other in years. Who would've thought that the next time you'd come, you'd bring your wife home huh?", she gives him a hug and kisses him on the cheek.
"Hello to you too, mom. Let me formally introduce you two again. Mom, this is my wife Eliana Bello and as you already know she's Spanish so no worries about the food. And Eliana, this is my mom Aria Romano."
"Hi, I know this is absolutely the wrong moment, but I need to use the restroom."
"Oh of course, I'll show you the way. Emilio, carry the stuff in.", I giggle at her demand, it's funny seeing Emilio being bossed around by his mom.
