After weeks of doing random missions, meaning plucking weeds, walking dogs, finding cats, and helping a lady find her favorite shirt, Naruto got restless.
“When are we going to get a real mission?!” he shouted at the Hokage. I rolled my eyes. ‘Idiot.’ I thought, chuckling. Kakashi gave me an odd look. I shook my head, he looked back to the Hokage.
“Fine, I’ll give you this one mission-“ he was cut off and this time it was by me.
“You mean the one when we have to escort that old fart to the Village hidden in the Mist? The old construction worker?” I asked. The Hokage eyed me suspiciously.
“How did you know?” he asked.
“He was standing outside, drunk as hell.” I replied and shrugged. “I asked an anbu.”
“oh. Okay, well, COME IN!” the Hokage said, the old drunk man walked in, his eyes were glazed over.
“Hunh? These are the twerps? The small one looks goofy.” the man slurred.
“Which one’s the short goofy one?” Naruto laughed. We all lined up. Sasuke was the tallest, I was his height, Sakura was next, then Naruto. Naruto realized this and started fuming. “WHY I OUGHTA-“
I pulled him back.
“Cool it.” I hissed. He shrunk back.
“The man’s name is Tazuna. Escort him to the Village Hidden in the Mist. He is a bridge builder so he needs to get there soon.” the Hokage ordered.
“Okay. Lets go now, thank you for the mission.” Kakashi said, and then we left. We were walking down the street to the exit of Kohona when I stopped.
“I need to get my things!” I replied. Naruto groaned. I left to my house quickly since it was right there, got my clothes and shit and jumped out of the window, landing next to the drunk tard. He jumped after 5 seconds. Late reaction. I rolled my eyes.
“Okay now, can we go?” Sasuke asked dryly. I slapped his arm. We started walking.
“So Sasuke, how do I look today?” Sakura asked, giggling.
“Uhm.” Sasuke replied, sighing. Sakura touched his shoulder.
“Do I look hot?” she asked.
“Sure.” he replied, not really caring. She squealed.
“Hotter then Fubuki?” she asked. My ear twitched.
“Hn.” Sasuke replied.
Sakura squealed in joy.
“Do you have any idea what he meant?” I asked, rolling my eyes.
“No, but I bet he said yes!” she squealed.
“Okay then.” I replied, shrugging at Sakura’s odd interpretations.
After a while of walking, I saw Kakashi stare at a puddle. Hm. ‘Maybe someone spilled water.’ I thought and kept on walking. All of a sudden two ninjas came out, armed. I jumped back, fear shaking me. I didn’t know why I was so scared. I collapsed to the floor, when I opened my eyes again I saw Sakura standing in front of Tazuna. Sasuke went in front of her, pushing the ninja’s back, he lodged them together with a kunai, then pushed forward and ripped their chains. I blinked and Kakashi had them wrapped up. I got up and realized I was dizzy. I touched the back of my head and winced.
“Why did I black out, huh?!” I screamed at the ninjas.
“You got hit in the head with one of their chains.” Sasuke replied for me.
“....I knew that.” I replied. After Kakashi tied them up and took care of them, we continued.
