Not So Different (A Sasuke Uchiha Story)

23: Fubuki vs. Haru

I woke up with banging on the door. I got up, opening it to see a read headed girl with glasses.

“Get up, lazy ass.” she muttered.

“Uh, who are you?” I asked, leaning against the door frame.

“I’m Karin. Now go before Orochimaru gets impatient!” she seethed.

“Nice to meet you too.” I said under my breath, going to the training grounds.

I saw Orochimaru with other people. I walked up. I saw one of the people he was with was Sasuke. I glared coldly at him, then looked at Orochimaru.

“You rang?” I asked, stretching.

“Yes, now I see you’ve met Karin.” Orochimaru said, seeing Karen fall asleep on the bench across the field.

“Sadly.” I replied, nodding.

“Well, these people are Juugo,” he said pointing to a redish haired boy. “Suigetsu,” he said pointing to another one that freaked me out a bit. “And Sasuke.” he said pointing to the last one. “But I think you know him, from the things he says about you.” Orochimaru finished, snickering.

“Hmm I see.” I said, not really caring whatsoever at this point.

“So, I hope your better then Sasuke says.” Suigetsu said, rubbing the back of his head and laughing nervously.

“So all he does is bitch about me?” I asked, rolling my eyes. “I know more shit about him then he knows about me.”

“Well, you’ll be fighting Haru to show us your power.” Orochimaru explained, trying to change the subject so no one would start fighting. Yet.

I paused. “Am I allowed to kill him?”

Juugo grinned.

“Yes.” Orochimaru said. “I hate him.” he muttered under his breath, but I heard. I grinned. Haru came out to the training field.

“Yo, Fubuki or whatever the fuck your name is! When’rwe gonna start, eh?” he asked, I twitched.

“I turned to face him. Everyone went to the side, observing.

“Begin.” Orochimaru said, I grinned.

Haru came at me, doing a water jutsu. The water wrapped around me and sealed me in a water trap. He snickered, I put my hand up to the top.

“Lightning bolt.” I whispered, the water nearly coming into my lungs. With a high pitched noise, the lightning cracked off the water. I jumped out, breathing hard. I grinned. “Be a man and fight! Stupid traps aren’t gonna get me.” I mocked. He twitched.

Water bomb jutsu!” he said, a ball of water and chakra mixing. He threw it, it was unavoidable. It exploded, hitting me in the arm. I ignored the pain and bruise it formed on my arm, turning on my Medera.

“You’re a Mayuko?!” he cussed under his breath now. I tilted my head to the side. I guess Genjutsu was his weakness. I switched his emotions with one’s of a drunk person’s. He held his head, dizzy from the emotion change.

“Feeling alright?” I asked with a smirk. He stumbled a little, then started laughing hysterically.

“Hhehehehee....” he said, his voice slurred.

I sang a high note, causing him to hold his ears and scream in pain. I focused on his chest. He wasn’t fighting back, I dazed him, so this would be easy. I exploded his stomach with a high note, blood came out of his mouth. Then I focused on his heart, singing as high as I could. I heard a squish noise, then he collapsed to the floor, blood coming out of his mouth and forming a crimson pool. I looked at Orochimaru, then felt something behind me. I looked to see a giant bird, flapping its wings at me and letting out a shriek. I backed up, its eyes were scanning me easily, its mind seemed to have a strategy. This was a person. Haru. I groaned.

“Oh great.” I muttered, my hand grabbing the bird’s leg, my nails turning into ice and shooting into his leg. He groaned, staggering to his side. I jumped up, doing a one handed jutsu and leaving my other hand out.

“Lightning ice mix jutsu!” I shouted above the birds scream, it staggered back. I winced as I felt the chakra draining, ice and lightning swirled in a beautiful arc and shot out at the bird. He dodged it, moving to the side. It came out of the ground this time, then changed into an animal. I had 60% chakra left. The lightning ice arc came from below, wrapping around the bird like a snake. I squeezed my hand, the bird was wrapped by the lightning ice and exploded. I flinched at the sight, blood every where.

I looked down at my arm, seeing scratches on me.

“DAMN BITCH!” I muttered at the dead bird, then walked over to Orochimaru, trying to take off the blood from my clothes.

“That was impressive!” he said, eyes sparkling. “The Mayuko clan really shows in you.”

I smirked. “I just need to learn a few more jutsu and I’m all good.” I said, proudly. He nodded.

“I see, it won’t be so hard to train you.” Orochimaru said, then he looked at my neck. Surprise flashed across his face.

“Where’s the curse mark?” he asked.

“Oh, it went away.” I explained.

All eye but mine turned as wide a saucers. 

“What?!” Suigetsu shouted, shocked. “How the heck did you pull that off?!” he asked.

“Uhm well I don’t know.” I lied. I didn’t want them to know about my necklace. I wasn’t wearing it anymore, it was in my backpack in my new room.

“Wow, that’s weird. I guess I’ll have to re bite you.” Orochimaru muttered. 

“Okay.” I said, since I knew how to get rid of it anyways. His teeth unexpectedly sank into my neck, I let out a howl. I bit my lip until it nearly started bleeding. Then the pain seemed to simmer as my body got used to it, since it was fine with the first one. I straightened my neck, rubbing it. I winced slightly.

“Thank you for the warning that you were going to do that.” I muttered softly.

“Oh stop complaining you little bitch.” Karen said, rolling her eyes. She looked at Sasuke, grinning and blushing at him. I felt anger flutter through my body.

I rolled my eyes.

“Stop it, Karen.” Juggo muttered, rolling his eyes.

“Where is Haru?” she asked, suspitious. We all pointed to the corpse. Her eyes grew wide. “Oh.”

“I killed him.” I stated, shrugging. I saw fear flash in her eyes, then she scowled.

“Whatever!” she muttered.
