- Two years later -
Whatever had intrigued Vulpecula about Blaise's Slytherin friend had very quickly dissipated.
Vulpecula described him as a 'tosser'. Not even 24 hours had passed since their, what could barely be called, interaction, Theodore Nott took it upon himself to make Vulpecula's life a living hell.
For the next two years of her life she'd been subjected to name calling, teasing, having silly notes thrown at her in class when the Professors weren't looking; to name a few. All at the hands of Theodore and Draco.
Although Theodore's relentless annoyance was not sourced from Vulpecula's father or blood status, as it was with Draco. Instead of calling her a filthy blood traitor, he would simply call her a hag or purposely get her into trouble with Snape in potions, where he sat right behind her for the last two years.
Her friendship with Blaise, however, flourished. The two became increasingly close over the course of first year and by second year she had tried to get the trio to talk to him. They weren't keen on building a friendship with him, but supported Vulpecula nevertheless.
Apart from the pestering from two Slytherin boys, and Harry being rumoured to be the heir of Slytherin because a giant snake was living in the castle, Vulpecula's life at Hogwarts had been relatively normla.
However, over the summer before third year started, something happened that she knew would change everything as she knew it. Her Father.
SIRIUS BLACK ESCAPES AZKABAN
The front page of The Daily Profit was headlined. Vulpecula dropped her forkful of scrambled eggs, making a loud clattering sound, mouth agape. Remus read the paper and sighed heavily, slumping back in his seat and running a hand over his face.
"What's going to happen, Vulpecula" Remus started to answer a query she had made "is that we are going to go to Hogwarts, I'm going to teach as Dumbledore has asked me, and you will focus on your studies."
Vulpecula nodded slowly, looking down at her plate. "What about everyone else, what will they say?" She was worried, she had managed to go two years without her name being of any importance to anyone, but now, who knows.
"It doesn't matter, this news about your father is nothing to do with you, if anyone has an issue with that then they are not worth your time, little fox."
Well that's easier said than done for Vulpecula, with the normality of her life at Hogwarts, came normal teenage behaviour.
Little Vulpecula who put glue in her classmate's hair would be proud of the older one who now punched people when they upset her or her friends. One of them even being Draco Malfoy in second year when he had tripped up Hermione in the corridor and called her a 'mudblood'.

A few days later, and the time had come to make the journey to Hogwarts. With trunks packed, Remus and Vulpecula made their way to London.
This year, Remus had been asked to teach Defence Against the Dark Arts and Vulpecula hoped that he would last longer than previous two had.
Upon arrival at Kings Cross Station, Vulpecula spotted a familiar redhead family.
"Ronald!" She yelled over the crowd, weaving her way towards the family, who were accompanied by Harry and Hermione.
"Hey! There she is!" Ron yelled running up to her.
When the two met they shared an embrace that included Vulpecula being lifted off of the floor and spun around. When Ron finally released the dizzy girl she looked over to the rest of the group.
