"Okay, we've got ten minutes until midnight." Vulpecula said hurriedly as she finished buckling her shoes."Right, so how are we gonna do this then?" Theodore asked as he finished buttoning up his shirt.
The girl stood up from the edge of her bed, deep in thought. They'd been gone for too long to return together, people would grow suspicious.
The air of Vulpecula's dorm room was thick and heavy, the smell of heat and passion lingered. There was every possibility that it was a mere imaginary atmosphere and if anyone was to enter the room, they would remain unknowing of the pair's act.
"You go down first, if anyone, like Hermione, asks you where I am, you say you thought I came down ages ago?" She proposed.
Theodore shrugged. "Well, it'll have to do because I don't have a better idea."
"Okay now get out."
Theodore laughed as she pushed him towards the door, her hands firmly placed on his chest. He lent down and quickly stole a kiss, their lips melted together with such a passion she'd never felt before. She pulled back and opened the door, shoving him out of the room with a wide smile.
The boy descended the stairs to the common room, unable to hide his jovial smile. On his journey down the stairs he replayed the eventful hour that had just passed; the image of Vulpecula underneath him, the feeing of her hands tugging at his hair and the feel of her cold necklace against his lips all filled his mind.
He was relieved that he'd finally told her how he felt. Theodore had been battling everything in him that told him to tell her everyday, he hadn't anticipated it to play out the way it did; however, he wouldn't go back and change it for anything.
He reached the bottom of the stairs and composed himself, painting a neutral expression on his face to avoid suspicions.
Walking into the common room, Theodore was spotted by Hermione, who came bounding over to him with a smile on her face.
"There you are, I sent V up to talk to you ages ago, where is she?" She said looking behind him up the stairs he came down.
He feigned confusion with a shrug. "I thought she came down ages ago-"
"Hmm..." Hermione responded surprised, she was swaying on her feet slightly. "I suppose she'll show up soon, Blaise has been looking for you."
The girl pointed over to the Slytherin boy stood by the drinks table, turning his glass in his hand as he stared into it.
Hermione patted Theodore on the shoulder before walking towards the large red sofa by the fireplace, joining Ginny and Harry. Theo took off in Blaise's direction, swiftly pushing through the excited crowd.
"Blaise!" Theodore's voice caught the boy's attention instantly. "What's going on, man?"
His voice was filled with concern at his friend's demeanour. Blaise appeared sombre and pensive as he twirled the glass of golden liquid in his hand.
Theodore came to a halt besides the boy, pouring himself a drink before bringing it to his lips, ready to hear his friend's troubles.
"I just saw Pansy." His voice was quiet.
Theodore's heart sank for Blaise, the boy was heartbroken over his breakup and Theo, mere moments ago, was upstairs with his best friend. He couldn't tell Blaise what he'd been doing, and he wasn't sure when he would be able to, so for the time being Theo focused on comforting his non-biological brother.
"Come on, dude." Theodore put his hand on Blaise's back as they both looked out at the crowded Gryffindor common room. "You're gonna see her a lot and it's hard but you can't let it get to you."
