part 2 (mini episode)
(y/n's pov)
I told Tyler what happened and got dressed as fast as I could.
I drove to the hospital quickly (but also stayed under the speed limit)
I arrived and told the front desk that I was family to him.
I got to his room and opened the door slowly.
He was casually eating jello with cuts and bruises all over him.
He was in a hospital gown and let's just say his muscles looked great.
But. I have a boyfriend. I need to stop.
I ran over to joe and hugged him gently.
"What are you doing here" - Joe
"I'm your emergency contact still" - You
"Oh" - Joe
"Don't scare me like that" - You
"Why do you still care" - Joe
"Just because we aren't together... doesn't mean I don't want the best for you" - You
Joe looked down.
I pulled a chair up to his bed to talk to him.
"Joe... why were you drunk while driving.."
- You
"Because. You don't want me, and apparently no one else does either" - Joe
"Joey... stop." - You
"y/n, our breakup ruined me. I don't think I'll ever be the same after that. Every night I go to a bar, get drunk, and then sleep with some random woman. I never have ever wanted to do that... so I don't know why I am. I need help." - Joe
I grabbed joes hand and held it as tears left my eyes.
"Bub, I'm so sorry" - You
"It's not your fault, you wanted away from me. I wasn't a good man to you. And I regret that everyday." - Joe
I looked down.
That's when my phone vibrated and it was a call from Tyler.
"I- I have to take this" - You
"Go ahead" - Joe
I answered
"Hello?" - You
"Hey honey" - Tyler
"Hey Ty, what do you need" - You
"I want to know how Joes doing. And also why you were the person the hospital called..." - Tyler
"I'll explain when I get home okay" - You
"Okay..." - Tyler
"I have to go.." - You
"Okay honey. I'm going to the store. I love you" - Tyler
"I love you too." - You
I hung up and looked back at joe.
"y/n.. I just want to let you know that no matter what you'll forever be the first girl that showed me what love was." - Joe
I looked down at my feet, not knowing what to say.
"Im forever yours" - Joe
I looked back at him, the both of us trying to blink back tears.
"Joe.." - You
"You don't need to say anything..." - Joe
Thats when the doctor walked in.
A beautiful young woman.
Blond hair and ocean blue eyes.
"Hows my star quarterback doing"
- Doctor Floyd
"Better" - Joe
"Great to hear!" - Doctor Floyd
She looked at me
"You must be y/n y/l/n?" - Doctor Floyd
"Yes, thats me" - You
"Im Doctor Floyd, but calm me Jenna"
- Jenna
"Well Jenna.. I thank you for taking care of Joe." - You
"Well he's a wonderful patient" - Jenna
She smiled looking at joe.
"Well miss y/n, unfortunately visiting hours are coming to an end so I'll leave you two for the last couple minutes.." - Jenna
"Thank you Jenna" - You
She smiled and walked out.
"Bye Joey... thanks for staying alive. Just dont drink and drive anymore... please." - You
"I wont" - Joe
I hugged him and turned around to walk out of the door.
"Oh and also, you might want to change your emergency contact" - You
"Goodbye y/n" - Joe said smiling
I walked out and shut the door.
Making my way down to the parking lot to drive back home.
I got home and wondered where Tyler was.
It was going on 3 am.
Thats when I remembered he said he was "going to the store".
What does that even mean.
I changed back into pjs and went to bed.
