(y/n's pov)
the next morning i woke up and still felt shook up.
sure, nothing ended up happening but just knowing what could've happened if joe hadn't walked in sent chills down my spine.
it took me a while to get to sleep last night because every time i closed my eyes all i could picture was tyler pushing me up against the counter.
but joe stayed up with me.
he didn't go to sleep until he knew i was.
sure we cuddle all the time, but last night i'm sure i've never clung to him as tight as i did.
i fell asleep with my arms wrapped around his neck and his arms around my waist.
and that's the position i woke up in too.
i didn't want to be alone with my thoughts so i ran my hands through his hair trying to wake him up.
he shifted slightly so i ran my hand through his hair again.
that time very slowly his eyes opened, and those gorgeous baby blues looked up at me as he smiled.
i didn't think it was possible but he pulled me tighter against him before mumbling a "good morning love"
"morning joey" - you
"did you sleep okay? how are you feeling? any morning sickness?" - joe
"slept okay, feeling okay, no sickness" - you
"okay... what time is it?" - joe
"10:30" - you
"damn we need to get up, we have plans" - joe
"what? what plans?" - you
i rubbed his back before he spoke again.
"i have a surprise for you kinda"
- joe smiled
"a surprise?!" - you laughed
"your family didn't just fly down for the night we got engaged... they will be here for the next couple of days. and this morning you and i are going to breakfast with my parents and your parents." - joe
"actually?! where is my family staying" - you
"i got them all rooms at a really nice hotel downtown" - joe
i kissed him.
"thank you for everything" - you
"you're so welcome, my soon to be wifey" - joe
"that reminds me we need to start wedding planning" - you
"we just got engaged the other night! we already have to start planing this?" - joe
"do you want us to get married soon?" - you
"well yes, of course" - joe
"okay then we have to start planning" - you
joe groaned as he stood up.
"where are you going now?" - you
"we have to get ready for breakfast" - joe
he walked over to the side of the bed that i was on and helped me up.
joe and i both went into our closet.
i of course only had what i brought in my suitcase but joe hung it up because he said it would help me feel "at home"
as i browsed through the few dresses i brought, i felt arms wrap around my waist from behind.
