(y/n's pov - a week later)
this past few weeks have been an emotional roller coaster.
joe was sick for three days, samantha has been throwing extra fits lately, y/n's been thinking about finding a job in the meantime, joe and y/n have been looking at houses + a family car,
y/n's parents officially got divorced...
so yeah, it's not been a good week.
joe and y/n were cuddling on the couch, and when i mean cuddling i mean y/n laying on the couch normally and joe laying directly on top of her with his face in her neck.
they were watching one of y/n's favorite movies. How to lose a guy in 10 days.
"i watched this the night we got engaged" - you
"really? that's cool" - joe
"yeah, i watched it with alexa and gracie before they took me to the facility" - you
joe planted little kisses on her neck.
"joe that tickles!" - you
he giggled and stopped kissing her neck, he moved his face from her neck and laid in her chest.
"i don't want to get up... but i have to go to the facility today" - joe
"what why?" - you
"i have some meetings about next season, contract stuff" - joe
"oh okay, can sam and i tag along?" - you
joe looked up and smiled at her.
"of course baby, you know i love when you go to the facility with me" - joe grinned
y/n smiled at him and they got up, making their way upstairs to change.
joe put on some sweatpants and a bengals sweatshirt before handing y/n one of his bengals sweatshirts also.
she smiled at him and put the way to big top on.
"i love wearing your clothes" - you smiled
"why's that" - joe smirked
"it smells like you... and it just reminds me of being snuggled up with you" - you blushed
"mhm" - joe smiled
after joe got dressed he wrapped his arms around his fiancé and kissed her head.
"how are the babies treating you?" - joe
"pretty good, just making me use the bathroom a lot and making me really tired" - you
joe pulled away but took y/n's hand and pulled her to the mirror.
they both faced the mirror and joe again wrapped his arms around her from behind but this time put his hands on her stomach.
y/n met his eyes in the mirror and was surprised to see how happy this made him.
joe laid his chin on her head
"this makes me really happy" - joe
"i can tell" - you chuckle
"i'm really excited that we are starting a family together." - joe
"i am too joe" - you smiled
joe moved y/n's hair away from her neck and placed a kiss on it.
"let's go get sam out of her play room and then head to the facility" - joe
