it felt amazing going home.
i was back in my favorite place, and i've never been so excited to go to sleep.
because.. i was going to sleep in joes bed, with him by my side.
right now joe and i were laying on the couch watching the office.
my head was in his chest and his arms were wrapped around me, as there was one blanket on top of us.
we sat there, not talking just watching tv i'm each others presence and occasionally laughing.
it was 8 right now, and still the same day as the super bowl so joe was sore and utterly exhausted.
apparently samantha was too because she went straight to sleep.
i was going to say something when joes phone started ringing in our bedroom upstairs.
he groaned as he got up, he definitely didn't want to.
(joes pov)
when i got to my room i picked up the phone, ja'marr was calling me so i answered.
"joseph burrow" - ja'marr
"what- are you gonna ground me or something?" - joe chuckled
"are you alone, is y/n near you?" - ja'marr
"she's downstairs in the living room, i'm in our bedroom. why?" - joe
"why the hell did you not propose today?"
- ja'marr
"i didn't even think about it.. do you think i should've?" - joe
"burrow. literally duh. she flew all the way here from nyc, you won the super bowl, your daughter took her first steps... getting engaged would be the cherry on top" - ja'marr
"you're so right. why am i so stupid when it comes to this stuff?" - joe
"i'm always right, and you're stupid when it comes to everything" - ja'marr
"shut it. is it to late for me to propose tonight?"
- joe
"no, i already have a little bit of a plan" - ja'marr
"tell me" - joe
"okay so alexa told me that when they were younger y/n wanted to have the song Greatest Love Story at her wedding.." - ja'marr
"okay. are you trying to tell me i should do something with that song?" - joe
"exactly" - ja'marr
(y/n's pov)
joe was upstairs on the phone for at least half an hour before he walked back down the stairs.
"hey baby, i forgot something at the facility. i'm going to drive over there quickly and pick it up okay?" - joe
"okay bye joey, i love you" - you
joe gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"love you too" - joe
and he left.

i was feeling rather lonely with joe gone so i facetimed alexa.
as soon as she answered she asked me a question rather eagerly.
"can gracie and i come over?" - alexa
"of course.. why" - you laugh
"just want to celebrate the win" - alexa grinned
