Crowley awoke to find that he was alone in the bed. He heard noise coming from the kitchenette, Aziraphale must be cooking breakfast….Crowley rounded the corner and was immediately captivated by the sight before him.
Aziraphale was glowing. Literally. A soft white light was emanating from him and he was bathing the kitchenette in his soft heavenly glow.
"Good morning Crowley." Aziraphale said, greeting his husband. "Breakfast will be ready in a bit."
"Um…it's burning…." Crowley quickly stepped forward and took the smoking pan off the stove. The gray lump, what must have been sausage, was ruined. Crowley flicked off the stove and asked, "Are you sure you are okay? You haven't burned food in years…."
Aziraphale suddenly smelled good….very good…
Aziraphale giggled when Crowley snuggled against him and breathed in his scent.
"Crowley…..stop…I'm not wearing any cologne…"
"Good." Crowley rasped. "I like this…you smell just like how you did when we first met…."
"You remember that?"
"Course. Every detail."
Crowley and Aziraphale hugged each other closely as the memories of that faithful day swirled in their minds.
They had come so far and they had done it together, and that's how they would anything and everything.
Together.
