"Aziraphale, in order to see how I can help you, I need to look under your nightgown and see how far along you are. Is that okay?" Tracy asked as she slipped on a pair of latex gloves.

Aziraphale was breathing heavily as Crowley whispered words of encouragement to him, dabbing his forehead with the damp cloth.

"Yes….that's fine. Do what you must, dear." Aziraphale rasped as Crowley fed him some ice chips. Aziraphale smiled gratefully as the coolness soothed his parched throat.

"Alright, but brace yourself, love. It'll be uncomfortable and it might even hurt…."

Aziraphale gave a small nod and clasped Crowley's hand as Tracy pulled the blankets away.

Crowley flinched when Aziraphale yelped in pain. Tracy apologized and quickly tucked the blankets around Aziraphale’s lap.

"You're only at two centimeters I'm afraid. Nothing can't be done until you're at ten centimeters."

"So what are we supposed to do until then?" Crowley demanded. Aziraphale was already exhausted and in so much pain…..

"You've both prepared for this day, it came much sooner than expected but you and Aziraphale are ready."

"Crowley…." Aziraphale rasped, "I'd like to relax in the tub for a tick, if you wouldn't mind?"

"Easy, angel, easy…." Crowley murmured as he helped Aziraphale down the hallway. He was tempted to just scoop up his husband and carry him to the bathroom but Tracy recommended that Aziraphale try to walk. Aziraphale, willing to try anything at this point, decided to give it a go.

"Are you alright? Do you want me to just carry you?"

Aziraphale shook his head.  " Walking seems to help….a little….just like Tracy said....." Aziraphale panted, "It seems to have calmed the baby….and the pressure against my spine isn't as severe."

"Good, maybe the warm bathwater will help more." Crowley replied.  "You're doing great Angel."

Aziraphale smiled weakly, "So are you darling…."
