It had been awhile since Tracy had checked on the Fell’s. The last time she had checked Aziraphale he was only five centimeters and unfortunately Aziraphale was in his second day of labor.
Tracy peeked around the doorframe. The door had been left open, revealing an exhausted looking Crowley sitting at his husband's bedside. The angel, despite the pain, had given in to his own exhaustion and fallen into a fitful sleep.
"How are my dears doing?" Tracy said as she entered the room with a steaming mug of coffee.
"He's been sleeping for a few hours now…." Crowley rasped dryly as he accepted the mug from Tracy.
"I'll check him when he wakes up then, but I recommend you get some rest too, love. You look like you're about to collapse."
"Then wots the coffee for?" Crowley muttered as he took a sip.
"It'll take the edge off but you still need to rest Crowley. You're going to need all your energy for when the next stages occur."
"Is it normal for baby's to take this long to arrive?" Crowley stroked his husband's cheek when the angel shifted and moaned in his sleep.
"Yes, but for humans, doctors have ways to move things along….."
Crowley nodded. They couldn't resort to a human doctor unless absolutely necessary…..
And it was hard to determine what human methods would even work on an angel…..
"I wouldn't worry Crowley, babies come on their own time regardless and Aziraphale is strong and the baby is healthy. Now finish your coffee and get some rest, that's an order from the godmother of your daughter."
Crowley crawled into the bed next to Aziraphale and curled up next to his husband. Crowley couldn't sleep while his husband was in pain. Crowley snapped his fingers and a fresh cold compress appeared in his hand, which he placed on Aziraphale's forehead.
No way in hell was he falling asleep tonight.
