Aziraphale smiled tearfully as Crowley gently passed him the precious little bundle. The baby’s face was scrunched up in protest and she squirmed, making it quite clear that she didn't want to leave her Daddy.

"Your Papa wants to meet you, Eden." Crowley murmured softly. "It's alright." Crowley let Aziraphale lean against his chest since it was clear that the angel was absolutely exhausted and simply didn't have the energy to sit up on his own.

"Hello there Little One." Aziraphale rasped as the baby stopped squirming. Her eyes moved underneath her eyelids as she visibly relaxed again, soothed by her Papa’s gentle voice.  "Don't fret, my dear.  Everything is alright now....your Papa’s got you......"

Aziraphale was awestruck by the tiny little redhead with her gorgeous little wings peeking out of the hand knitted tartan blanket that he himself had made for her, her name embroidered on it with bright pink thread. Aziraphale stared at the precious bundle in his arms, completely mesmerized.

"Oh Crowley, look at her wings!" They were black as night, like Crowley’s with snowy white tips.
"Aren’t they beautiful?" Aziraphale weakly reached up and ran his fingers through Eden's silky soft feathers then her fluffy red curls, the tears falling onto her blanket.

Crowley nodded as tears streamed down his face. "Absolutely beautiful, just like her Papa." Crowley murmured as he gave them each a kiss.

"I'm so proud of you Angel, and you too Queenie….."

"Oh yes, I'd almost forgotten." Aziraphale rasped, "You are Eden Alexandria Queen Fell, my Little One, and you are so loved."

"More than you’ll ever know." Crowley added softly as he placed a hand knitted cap on Eden's head. The demon thought his heart would burst at the sight of a few of Eden’s curls sticking out here and there.

As Crowley reached out and gently stroked a small red curl, he rasped, "I'll always be there for you and keep you safe my darling....." Crowley kissed the tiny little forehead. "As long as I'm here, no one will ever hurt you or your Papa. I can promise you that."

Fresh tears of joy streamed from Aziraphale's eyes as his heart swelled with so much love that he thought he would explode into heavenly light, even though his heavenly glow was already lightning up the room and illuminating his husband and their newborn daughter.

But then both Aziraphale and Crowley gasped with shock as, quite unexpectedly, Eden's eyes flew open.

A pair of striking blue eyes, the spitting image of Aziraphale’s gazed up at her parents with wonder and curiosity. Her pupils were narrow in shape, like a serpents.

“Ha! That’s my girl! Full of surprises!” Crowley sniffed, blinking away a fresh wave of tears.

“Such beautiful eyes, Little One.” Aziraphale’s smile broadened as he ran a hand through Eden’s tufty curls.

“What do you think, Crowley?” Aziraphale murmured as he gazed up at his husband.

“She’s the most beautiful little girl I’ve ever seen, Angel. So very beautiful, I can’t take my eyes off of her.”

Crowley reached out and stroked Eden’s chubby cheek with his index finger. He blinked away tears. She was so soft like her Papa and just so chubby!

Eden suddenly reached out and grabbed Crowley’s index finger.

Crowley laughed. "Ha! Look at that! She’s got me!" Eden's hand was so tiny that it encompassed his entire finger. Crowley was surging with so much pride and joy that he barely felt the throbbing ache of his broken fingers.

"She's clever too…" Crowley croaked through the lump in his throat. "Very clever, like her Papa…."

"Would you two like to weigh and measure her now?" Tracy asked. "I understand if you want some more time to yourselves."

"After I count the feathers on her wings!" Crowley answered, his voice cracking. Aziraphale was gently running his fingers through Eden's delicate feathers. Crowley had to know how many feathers she had. But before that he wanted to count her fingers and toes. She clearly had ten of each of course but he simply had to count them again. They were absolutely perfect!
