"Alright, Max, you need to be quiet now, okay? We don't wanna wake up mommy, right?" I mutter to my son, holding him in my arms.

"Yes, mama" He confirms with a firm nod, making me smile at how determined he looks.

"Great then, let's start" I tell him excitedly and he smiles, matching my energy as I put him on the counter besides the fridge.

Yesterday, I stayed for almost half of the night awake to baked Lizzie a birthday cake. It was messy, tiring, but so worth it. It looks amazing and I hope she'll like it. It's chocolate cake with strawberries.

And now, it's already morning and I woke Max up a little earlier than usual because I want to wake up my fiancée with a cake and spend the whole day as a family, just like we love. Since Max was born, we spent every birthday together, maybe except once with mine because I was away for a tour that day in 2019.

I pull out the cake from the fridge and put it next to him, being careful that he doesn't do anything bad with it. Next, I take the candles from lower drawer and open the boxes. I bought two candles, three and two as Lizzie is turning thirty two today.

"Okay, you can put them inside the cake, okay? Just be careful, buddy" I say, giving him the candles and take the cake in my hands, holding it in front of him.

He sticks his tongue outside the mouth, looking intensely at what he's doing. Slowly, he pushes firstly one candle and the second after a moment of thinking how to do it.

"Good job, buddy!" I comment proudly because I'm really proud now. He shoved them perfectly in the middle. "You did perfect, MJ" I praise him and he cheers excited, clapping his hand and looking at me with the most adorable smile ever. God, he's so like Lizzie.

"Wake mommy?" He questions and I nod in response.

"You need to walk alone, okay? I need to take the cake" I declare and he wiggles his legs adorably. I giggle quietly, putting the cake on the counter and lowering him on the ground. "You fine?"

"Yeah" He assures me with a smile and I hum in acknowledge, taking the cake again to my hands.

"Let's go wake up mommy" I decide and when he beams, I chuckle and start walking with him to the Lizzie and my bedroom.

I open the door with my elbow and enter the room with Max on my tail. I nod to him when he looks up at me in silent ask. He smiles mischievously as he runs to the bed and jumps without hesitation on Lizzie. He lands on her stomach as she's sleeping on the back, but she releases a groan at the hit. I don't blame her because he's not a small baby anymore, he weights almost 25 pounds.

"Mommy! Happy birthday!" Max exclaims loudly, pronouncing the word 'birthday' wrong, but in a cute way.

I see from back how Lizzie snaps her eyes open, not being used to this way of waking up. Don't get me wrong, since Max learned how to walk, he's waking us a lot like this, but not so aggressively before. Most of the time, he pokes his finger into my or Lizzie's eye or preppers our faces with kisses.

"Whoa, Max. What happened?" Lizzie breathes out concerned, her voice groggy and full of sleepiness. She sounds really sexy and I need to swallow hard to calm myself.

"Happy birthday, mommy!" He repeats himself, jumping up and down on her stomach. He looks behind at me to check if I'm still here and only then Lizzie follows his gaze and gaps surprised at the sight of me.

"A cake?" She croaks out and I beam at her, nodding.

"Happy birthday, my love" I speak happily, approaching the bed finally.
