He found Alasia by Ron and Hermione, who sure enough had a snoring baby in her hands.
"Mrs Black." Sirius whispered in her ear from behind.
Ron lit up at his experience while Hermione was too busy playing with Callie's tiny hands. Alasia spun around, breathless.
"Alasia Victoria Black." She repeated. "I can't picture growing tired of that."
"Neither can I." Sirius smiled, tugging her hand to the middle of the place as everyone made a circle around them, hooting and clapping.
She could've sworn she heard someone yell "GO BLACKS!" Most likely Flora. She rolled her eyes before they landed on her husband. HUSBAND.
It felt like a dream, like one of those days when her heart was so inexpressibly filled with love that it felt abnormal how she looked at him. Like a human loving someone more than a human could.
She'd been so cruel to herself all her life, and then, when she met him, he taught her that she didn't have to be. That it was not a complicated puzzle she was ready to waste a million years solving, it was a simple thing. She didn't have to do anything alone because why should she when she's loved? When he's there for her?
It was so easy, something she'd overlooked and had failed to understand. She didn't need to cook for herself in the mornings she was tired, he'd do it because he loved her. She didn't need to shut off the lights if she forgot once she'd settled in bed, he'd do it because he loved her.
She didn't need to even ask him when she'd be in a hurry on her morning runs, he'd kneel down and tie her laces for her because he loved her. He'd kiss her without her voicing she needed it because he knew her, he loved her.
And when she took her first step, his hands twirling her around, his eyes looking at her like he's just won himself the world, she knew. She knew she would've loved him even if he hadn't married her, even if he'd fallen out of love with her, if he'd left her or if he'd loved another. She would've loved him still.
They were dancing to the song Sirius had once sung for her while in Hogwarts,
Cupid draw back your bow
And let your arrow go
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Nobody but me
Cupid please hear my cry
And let your arrow fly
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Alasia felt her heart warm when she collided back into his chest, her dress whirling with her. Her Cassleton eyes clashed with his grey ones and he smiled, leaning down to kiss her as if his life depended on it, his feet still moving with the beat.
When he leaned away, he nuzzled his face in the crook of her neck while the others danced with their own partners.
His soft voice brought her out of her daydreams, "Now I don't mean to bother you but I'm in distress, there's danger of me losing all of my happiness. For I love a girl who doesn't know I exist. And this you can fix, so,"
She chuckled against his shoulder where she rested her cheek, "Your voice is still as smoky hot as it was then,"
"At least you remember,"
"I remember every moment, every breath I spent with you, Padfoot." She looked up, eyes welled up. "Now don't make me cry, Flora would have a fit if she realised I ruined the makeup she did on me."
Sirius laughed, "She did it the muggle way?"
"Uh-huh, missy's taught by my lovely sister."
"Of course she is." He snorted.
