January 8th, Before Dawn
"Come back, come back to me,"
"We lost so much time in anger, Allie." Whispered Sirius, "Our years are all lost because of our fights, the moments we could've used to reset your Time-Turner. Not now, not again —"
Alasia fluttered her eyes open, "Sirius?" She croaked.
His heart felt like it finally had a beat as he let out a heavy breath and nodded, kissing her forehead, one hand caressing her hair while the other was converted into a white knuckled fist above the headboard.
Alasia laid still for a moment too long, mind too slow to catch up with all the details. When she finally had a recollection, she gasped.
Their wedding, the first dance, the ambush, Altair and Augustus, a knife embedded in her stomach, her white gown the colour of deepest scarlet —
"My belly —" She rasped, trying to sit and failing.
"You're okay." Sirius wasted no time in bracing his arm behind her back. "Your belly's okay, our baby is, too."
She shut her eyes tight, letting a tear fall down. "I hate this," She whispered. "I hate this so much. I used to be feared, I used to be feared because I was strong. I had pure, raw wandless magic, I had fire inside my veins. Nothing ever held me back. Where was my magic yesterday? Where was it when I needed to defend people? I failed, I failed so terribly, if something had happened to —"
"Nothing happened."
She opened her eyes and stared right ahead, pushing her weight on the bed and finally managing to sit up, back pressed against the bed frame. "I could've lost the baby."
"You didn't tell me." Sirius muttered.
She turned towards him and her eyes softened. "I was planning to do it on our wedding night, as a gift, perhaps. Things were not supposed to go this way."
A broken sob escaped his throat involuntarily, breaking his calm façade. "I'm going to be a father."
A smile bloomed on her tired face as she cupped his face and pressed her forehead against his. "I'm going to be a mother."
"When?"
She didn't hesitate to answer. "The day I went to the apothecary to get healing crystals for you. The woman there casted a spell on me to check. I'm two months pregnant."
Sirius let out another strangled sound before bringing Alasia to his chest, hugging her as if he already lost her. "Do you know the gender?"
"Does it matter?"
"Of course not." He pulled back and placed a soft kiss on her lips. "The baby's already loved."
"I can't wait to have a baby with you, husband."
"I can't wait to be a father to your child, Mrs Black." He laughed, both their tears falling down and merging into one.

Alasia met Remus and Altair outside the ward of St. Mungo's she was in.
"Oh, for goodness' sake!" Altair huffed, standing up from where he was sitting, his knee bouncing up and down and brought his sister into a bear hug. "I thought something happened to you."
"Well, something did happen to me." Alasia mumbled.
Altair pulled away to glower at her, and then Sirius. "You knocked my sister up."
"I'm her husband." Sirius gaped.
Altair clenched her jaw and nodded, looking for all the world as if, if Sirius wasn't in fact her husband, he'd be on the floor, bruised and bloodied.
"Are you alright?"
Alasia nodded, looking down to where there was a bandage around her stomach, but as Sirius said, the stab wound was far from the vital organs, only making it bloody but luckily causing no harm to the baby.
"I'm okay, the baby's okay, too."
"So I heard." Altair gave her a tiny smile. "You're going to become a mother now, huh?"
"So I heard." She shrugged. "You're going to be an uncle, again."
"Callie cries a lot, I can't wait for her to have a partner so my ears can burst open." He drawled, though Alasia could see the crinkles around his eyes, the utter happiness he was hiding.
"I know you were scared shitless, brother, no need of nonchalance in front of me, I invented that move." She snorted, earning a glare from Altair.
"How many months are you in?"
"Two." She replied, "It's not going to show yet, but I think I got knocked up almost instantly after arriving —"
"It might not be best to tell him that," Sirius grimaced. "I don't want to die through your brother's hands."
"Smart man," Altair inclined his head, kissing Alasia's forehead before backing away. "Josephine got hit by a dark curse, I need to go home and tend to her. I'll come by and visit you, though, alright, Lay? I haven't seen your house, anyhow."
"I'll come by, too." Alasia smiled, "I'm planning on doing that a lot now."
"I'm glad." Altair said and she could see he meant it as he nodded at the other two men and left the hall.
"Remus." Alasia turned towards her friend. "Are you alright?"
"I'm okay." He nodded. "Tonks. . ." His voice cracked. "Tonks is in a ward a little far from here, she got hit by the cruciatus curse."
Alasia's heart broke a little, "Dora got hit. . .who?"
"Bella." Sirius answered for him. "We got there a little too late."
"I should've been there." Remus gulped. "It's my fault."
"Yes, it is." Alasia answered.
Sirius looked at her, confused when she shook her head at him. "You left for the werewolf mission without asking for hers or our advice, you left to fight alone at the wedding. Remus, honestly, sometimes I think you're trying to get yourself killed on purpose."
Remus looked pale when she glared. "Is loving her truly so bad that you're intentionally getting yourself in trouble? You're not going to hurt her by letting go of your fears, Remus. You're hurting her now, by not making her your priority. Above, your werewolf side. She could be your mate for all you know!"
Remus winced. She laughed. "She is your mate, isn't she? That's why you're this confused."
"I can't — Al, what if I infect her?"
"By kissing her?" Alasia raised her brows. "Honestly, Remus? You're making excuses now. You and I both know this is not what's it about. Solve this by yourself and get your arse to check up on Dora, I'm too tired after nearly losing my baby and then giving a motivational speech. Sirius, take me home, will ya?"
"Yes," Sirius smiled, taking her hand. "I'll take you home."
