"Are you sure about this?"

"Yes, do I look like I'm pregnant?" Alasia asked Sirius with a small cute frown, looking down to her glamoured belly.

"You don't. It's making me sad."

She smiled, getting up on her tiptoes to kiss him. "It'll last barely any time. We'll just go there and get out."

The Slug Club party was towards the beginning of the summer break and Alasia was invited. The hype around her being alive was tenfold more than the last few times, now that they had become hopeless with how strong Voldemort was.

"Do we need to glamour it?"

Alasia looked up at him and sighed, "Actually, no. No, we don't. I don't think they're going to attack me as if our child will be an heir to the kingdom they've got eyes on."

Sirius gave her a tight-lipped smile, "I really don't want to make an acquaintance with all the hags that are no doubt going to be there."

"And my father's minions will be here." She joked, grimacing when Sirius went utterly still. "He is my father, you know?"

"Yes," He breathed. "I'd just forgotten about the fact all the Slytherins are now fucking death-eaters. Or wannabes."

"Nothing we can't handle, my love."

Sirius inhaled sharply, getting a grip on himself before taking his witch's hand in his own and walking towards the marquee.

With another stiff walk, Alasia snapped. "You're being a big fucking killjoy, Padfoot."

"Well, forgive me for being worried about my wife and child's security."

"Your wife is Alasia fucking Serpens, you don't need to fucking worry."

"What if doing magic harms the baby?" cried Sirius.

"Didn't know you got a degree in gynaecology without telling me, honey." Alasia clasped her hands in front of her in mock enthusiasm.

"It would've been better if we sat and watched the T.V. all night." He gruffed.

"Or maybe for once get your arse out of the bed rot? This is our chance to get knowledge, meet our godson, know how bad the situation is at Hogwarts and whatnot."

Sirius didn't say anything this time, fuming as he was and walked towards the tent which was covered in the colours red and golden even though Slughorn claimed to love each House equally.

Going inside wasn't like the last experience, this time it was heavier. The stakes were higher. The deaths were inevitable. This time, the evil wandered freely and the good ones had to hide.

Alasia smirked. This was going to be such a fun night.

Sirius had a permanent scowl etched on his face, scaring away anyone who tried to come near the couple.
