The morning after the fight, Alasia slept most of the day away.
In the twilight of the first of July, she woke up in Sirius' white shirt, now falling to her thighs instead of knees with the big bump that only grew bigger by the day. The kicking had started faintly this morning and she'd had soft dreams of little hands and feet.
"Now I know who's been stealing all my shirts." Sirius smiled, a small dimple on his cheeks while he cooked.
With his back to her, she had the chance to gape at him shamelessly. That man had a body that would make a nun want to marry. His shoulder blades had gotten intensely hotter since he started working out again. His teenage body was no longer, this was a man alright. A thirty-seven-year-old man who was now going to be a father. A father of her child.
She wanted to get knocked up again and the first one hadn't even popped out.
"Alasia?"
"Mhm?"
"You listening?"
Alasia blinked twice before looking at him again, Sirius had now turned around and was smirking like the devil. "Pardon?"
"No, do go ahead. I have time. Stare all you want."
Well, if he insists. She could feel her eyes turn heavy with need as she took him in, the naked torso among other things. And those abs that recently made an appearance out of thin air — and those Merlindamned tattoos —
"Alasia?"
"What?" The word came out weirdly short and breathy.
"You okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" She gulped, audibly.
Sirius was fully grinning now, "We have nowhere to be today, just saying."
"Is that so?" She took a step closer, and another, and another. And somehow with only three steps she was close enough to share breath.
"I am not a religious man, Allie." said Sirius slowly, "But I do thank Merlin for you every day."
And Alasia smiled at that, feeling as though it was the first time she ever did.
"Don't flirt with me like that,"
Sirius laughed and brought her closer. And their lips touched but didn't, her breath was hot on his mouth and his nose was grazing hers very lightly. She felt tingling all over her cheeks — they had suddenly gone unnaturally warm. And she pressed a little closer, brushed her lips with his. Two moments went by when they looked into each other's eyes, the tension hot enough to melt.
