Alasia wasn't sure she could sleep, after all that she knew now.
According to Harry, she was his godfather's fiancé, he was going to marry her, he loved her and she had gone to protect Harry's mum and dad, and had died that day – or someone had used 'Obliviate' on her and now she forgot everything.
It was not hard to imagine why someone would do that, if she was feared, had enemies, everyone had a million reasons to get rid of her.
Something in her heart had done a backflip at the name 'Sirius Black'. She'd heard it before, on the news a year or two ago. He was a mass murderer for the love of god. But she remembered, how even then, once she'd seen his face on the paper, she'd had a troubled sleep – dreaming of voices.
She was a mass murderer's fiancé? How peculiar? An Assassin was another killer's to-be bride. But, if Sirius Black was Harry's godfather...
Dear Lord, she was going mad, wasn't she? She'd never figure this one out. She'd never find her family – was Sirius Black her family? Was James and Lily Potter?
She was my godmother. Harry's godmother. Alasia was Harry's motherfucking godmother. She cringed, she shan't use such crass words in a sentence like that.
Alasia was still mulling over this when she looked to her side and gasped.
There were flames.
All around her bed, all around her room, her house, outside her windows – were flames.
She blinked, and they were gone. Was she hallucinating?
Dreaming of Harry's words, the terrorising flames and a strange smoky grey colour, she fell asleep half-muttering her theories.

December 25th, 1995
"Hello, LayLay."
Alasia groaned, stopping her munching over heavy sugar cookies and turning around with a scowl. "How do you always manage to enter my house without a key?"
"Because I'm a trained assassin?" He offered.
"Get out."
"Why are those always your first words to me whenever I visit?" Rhen sighed, dropping on a bean bag beside her chaise.
"Not on Christmas, Rhen. Spare me today."
"As if you like the holiday."
Alasia stared at him for a good minute before giving up with a whatever-motherfucker look. "What do you want?"
"Had to see if you'd run away yet."
Something churned in Alasia's gut. Should she tell him she knew about who she was, if only to spite him? But then, what if he told Prime?
She didn't know what to do with the information anyhow. Would she tell Harry her real name? Would she go after him to wherever his godfather was? Would she wait for someone to recognise her? Realise she was alive?
They hadn't come for her in fourteen years, she thought bitterly. No one would be coming now.
"Does it hurt when you think this hard?"
Alasia threw a cookie at Rhen but he only caught it with his left hand and bit into it with a groan. "Damn, LayLay. These are the softest cookies I've ever had. Who taught you how to bake?"
It was a natural talent, just like daggers, just like combat, just like a lot of things she didn't want to think about.
"Is that the only reason you decided to visit?"
