Alasia hummed happily, munching on an apple as she twirled around.
Sirius laughed, "What's gotten you so happy?"
"Can't I be happy without a reason?" She grinned at him, pecking his lips, then gasping when he pulled her back for more.
"I'm still here, y'know?"
They both pulled away at the sound of Remus, who was looking anywhere but them.
"Whoops." Alasia laughed.
"Why are you so delighted today?" Remus asked curiously.
"Harry's coming back." She shrugged.
"You do remember he'll go back to Privet Drive, don't you?" Remus asked.
Alasia's grin faded. "She forgot." Remus said to Sirius.
"You could've done without reminding her." Sirius glared.
"What? I was just genuinely asking. I thought she was merely gleeful by the fact she'd see him!"
"Come here, love." Sirius said to Alasia who was frowning now.
"Can't we just kidnap him and bring him here?" She asked Sirius who sat her on his lap.
"We can, but we shouldn't. I've just been declared innocent, I wouldn't want another title of 'kidnapper' on my head."
"But..." She sighed in frustration. "We're his legal guardians!"
"And they are his family." Remus tried to talk logic. "Also the ones who share Lily's blood."
"Ugh, I wish Lils were my sister." Alasia complained.
"Believe me, Lily wished that, too." Sirius said.
Alasia looked over at Sirius and paused. She missed Lily, she missed her so terribly. She hated the fact that she hadn't gotten the chance to watch Harry grow, hadn't gotten the chance to watch James change stinky diapers with an adorable concentrated expression.
That James and Lily hadn't gotten the chance to see just how far Harry had come. That he'd become a seeker, that he loved Quidditch. That his hair was just as messy as James', that his eyes were just as green as Lily's. That his temper was just as bad as hers, too.
"I wish they were here, too, Lay." Remus said softly.
She turned to him and nodded. "They are, they're probably watching us from heaven right now, slamming their palms on their heads at what we're doing doing."
Sirius laughed. "Oh, Lily most definitely is! She's obviously cursing James to have given his messy hair to Harry. And James is obviously brooding over the fact he's a seeker and not a chaser."
"And," Remus added with a grin, "they're both obviously shocked by his lack of arrogance in front of girls."
"And Lily is obviously annoyed he doesn't read." Alasia chuckled.
"And James is most definitely mad we're making fun of them even in heaven."
There fell a soft quiet, a happy one, a peaceful one. "And they're obviously very, very happy that we're all alright, healthy and laughing." she added.
Sirius smiled as she pressed her cheek against his shoulder and Remus just clicked his tongue at their grossly in love antiques. He just flipped him off.
There was a knock at the door and Remus got up, "I'll take it."
They were in their old home, which was surprisingly intact, furniture and clothing together. Whatever spells Alasia had applied, Sirius hadn't even questioned.
