"Have you ever watched Barefoot?" Nina asks.

"What?" I say looking at her through my sunglasses.

We had driven out of town to a large mall, we needed retail therapy.

"It's a movie, it's so good." She says as we look through the clothes rails at Forever 21.

"Is it on Netflix?" I ask.

"Maybe..you wanna watch it tonight?" Nina asks.

"Sure." I say. Suddenly Nina pushes me behind a rack.

"Whaaa?" I say losing balance.

"Shhhh!" Nina snaps. She points at a male in the shoe section.

"Nice to know you've identified the male species." I roll my eyes.

"Thats Luke!" She says.

Ever since I told her that I wasn't into Luke, she was acting crazy, she didn't know Luke liked her.

She also denied liking him, obviously that was a lie.

"Yeah so? I want to say hi." I said getting up.

Nina yanks me down. "Are you crazy?" She looks at me with wild eyes.

"No, but you are." I huff.

"We can't go dressed like this to meet him!" Nina says. I look at our attire we were just wearing shorts and T shirts.
I didn't see the problem.

"I need to look- I mean we need to look cute!" She whines.

"Erm why?"

"B-because he's cute-" Nina starts.

"You think he's cute." I smirk.

"N-no." She stutters turning red.

"Come on Nina." I laugh.

"Okay fine, he's a god." She mutters.

"So get your booty over there and flirt!" I say.

"W-what no!"

"The great Nina is nervous!"

"No he's just out of my league ok!" I look at her she was gorgeous!

"There is no such thing as league!"

"Yes there is!"

"Nope!" I pop the 'p'.

"Fine looking meat like that don't go for anything!" She pouts.

"Your not anything!"

"I am!"

"This is ridiculous!" I say.

"Hey ladies.." Luke smirks.

Shit, Nina's eyes bulge out of her head. Luke offers us hands to get up.

"How come every time I meet you, you guys are always arguing in the weirdest of places." Luke laughs.

"Its not that weird." I mutter.

"You were hiding under a clothes rack." Luke says.

"So?"Nina says with a burst of confidance.

"So thats a little odd."

"Your face is odd." Nina smirks. Whoa she's back.

"Feisty." Luke smirks.
Nina rolls her eyes, but smiles.

"We have shopping to do." Nina says.

"Hey wait Nina?" Luke pulls her arm.

Aw, this is getting good.

Do it! Ask her out!

"Are you free-" Luke starts.

"Yes!" Nina blurts out. Luke chuckles.

"I mean what did you have in mind." Nina quickly puts on a 'cool' face.

"Dinner and movie?" Luke said.

"Sounds good." Nina nods.

Yes finally!

I did a little victory dance for Nuke.

Yes I ship them.

"As long as you don't ditch us like last time." Luke laughs, I nod in agreement.

"I won't, Scouts honour. See ya." Nina drags me away.

"Bye Luke!" I wave.

Nina started jumping up and down in the changing rooms.

"Omg!" She made me jump up and down, I hugged her laughing.

"This is such a good day!" Nina sings.

"And its about to get better, Scar gave us 200 bucks of spending money!"

"Well, thats a good excuse to get something nice for my date."

"Agreed." We high fived and scoured the rails in good spirits.

"God I'm exhausted." Nina and I hustled into the house, tired and carrying like a hundred bags.

"Whoa Ladies!" Scar says helping us.

"Thanks Scar for the spending money we spent it well." Nina said.

"I can see that." Scar laughs, coughing a bit.

"You ok Scar?" I said rifling through our bags.

"Yep fine, dry throat. Need some of my famous peach ice tea, how about you girls?" Scar asked.

We nodded in agreement.

Scar headed off to the kitchen while Nina and I discussed our findings.

"I told you that green dress looked good on you." said Nina flopping on the sofa.

"Yeah yeah its great for my skin tone."

"You know nothing about fashion I swear." Nina rolls her eyes.

"Oh yeah-" I was cut off by a loud thump from the kitchen.

I looked at Nina we hurried to the kitchen.

"Omg!" Nina exclaims.

There on the kitchen floor was Scar coughing out a pile of blood.

"Shit! Scar!" I said.

She was losing consciousness.

"Call now! Nina!" Nina ran in terror to the phone.

"Scar stay with me." I said trying to sound calm, but tears rolled down my face.

"An ambulance is on the way." Nina said.

"You hear that Scar? Help is on the way, be strong you're gonna be ok." I pat her back.

Scar had to be okay, not just for me, but for everyone.
