Its all getting so intense
And i have a spanish exam hola adios im screwed......
I don't know how I ended up at the local fun fair. There was one every sunday evening.
Even though the town was small and relatively safe, every girl knows you don't hang out at fun fairs on your own at 9pm.
Easy target is the word.
But I didn't care. I needed to get away and the best distraction candy floss and carnival stands.
This was my favourite place as a kid, I would ride the teacups for hours and go up to the ferris wheel all the time.
And then a memory came to mind.
Flashback to 5 years ago~~~~
It was two days after my 12th birthday, my parents had taken me and the boys to the fun fair.
The funfair was amazing, especially when you won prizes. I loved winning against the boys, it made me feel like as good as them.
My mum had taken me to the rainbow hair stall so my hair was a mix of pink and blue streaks, I thought I looked like a rocker.
"Troy look at my hair!" I said with glee, hoping to impress him, he was a teenager now.
"Thats really cool Shay!" He smiles, eating his penny candy.
"You should dye your hair blue!" I giggled, joking.
"Yeah?" He gives me his candy and slaps down a dollar bill on the hair stall. Next thing I know Troy has blue highlights in his blonde hair and he looks so cool.
He comes back laughing and grabs my arm, "Now we match." He says. I laugh, Troy always got on with me, he didn't saw 'ew' or run away, he liked being my friend.
His brothers didn't mind me but they were so immature. Troy was different he liked looking at star constellations and listening to the Beatles.
"Hey Troy? Wanna go on the ferris wheel?" I asked.
"Erm.. thats pretty high." Troy looks nervous.
"Why you scared?" I teased, pushing him.
"No! Fine lets go!" He grabs my arm while I laugh.
We sit in a small cart and make our way up to the top, the whole sky was starry and I wondered where 'Ursa', the constellation Troy showed me was.
"This is really high!" Troy squeezed his eyes shut.
I decided to joke with him and started to rock the cart.
"Whoa! Are you out of your mind? We could die!" Troy shouts.
I feel bad, I didn't realise he was genuinely scared.
"Hey, its ok." I say softly.
Troy breathes in and out quickly. I hold his hand, his eyes bulge but his breathing rate slows down.
"We are nearly to the top." I said.
Troy looked up averting his eyes away from the ground.
We get to the too and the ferris wheel stops for a moment.
Troy looks at me, "Thanks Shay." he kisses my cheek and we start going back down.
Thats when I knew I liked Troy, not as a friend but something more.
End of flashback ~~~
I wonder if he remembers that day.
Probably not, it was so long ago.
