Whats your favourite place in the world?

Mine is my bed.

Btw these chapters are unedited, I'll get to that at some point.

........

The first day of senior year.

Woo.

I got up and changed into my ripped jeans and a black peplum with sandals, it was still sunny in Boston. It reminded me of the summer house.
It was weird without mom here, she would be the one making pancakes and offering me my lunch bag before I head out.

My dad had left for work, he's a lawyer, so we have a nice house.

I pop some toast in the toaster and text Nina that I'll pick her up in ten minutes.

Grabbing my toast and car keys to my baby, its a black Chevrolet. I make my way to Nina's.

My house is nice and everything, but Nina's was like a palace. Her father was always on a business trip and her mom was a touring author. She writes self help books. Nina had an older brother who goes to Notre Dame, an amazing football player. Most of the time she's home alone.

My mom is a part time estate agent and I'm so grateful, she's always home when I am and my dad come homes by seven. The being an only child kinda sucks, you get bored quickly. Thats why Nina is so important to me, she's like a sister.

I wait for Nina who looks like the fashionista she is. She's wearing skinnies and a white top with a blazer and black heels.

Total opposites, she'll approve of the peplum though.

Nina grins at me, I am so glad everything is back to normal.

"Are you ready for senior year baby?" Nina says.

"Go wild cats." I reply sarcastically, Nina puts on the radio ignoring my spirit downer.

"I hope we get more classes together this year." Nina says, I nod in agreement.

We arrive at Boston Prep and sidle out, I sigh wishing for summer again.

........

School was boring, same teachers, same classes and we did get more classes together, luckily for Nina and I.

Highlight of the day, Martha Jackson slapping Wayne Trox in the face. Why? He cheated on her with some girl in Italy. What a manwhore, but still Martha was like queen bitch, so I didn't feel that sorry for her.

I got home and did my homework, then put on the TV. The phone rang and I groaned, just when I was comfy.

The number was an out of state number.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hey Shay."

I froze. Troy.

"Troy?"

"Yup."

"You in Stanford now?" I say dumbly.

"Just moved into my dorm now, this place is so cool." I could hear the happiness in his voice.

"That's great! Bet Cali has some awesome beaches." I say.

"I'll get to do more surfing."

I groaned, he laughs.

"You'll get better." he assures.

"Yeah when a meteorite hits the earth." Troy laughs again.

"Your a senior now!" He says.

"Woo."

"God you're just dripping with excitement." He laughs.

"Its just the same, but more work." I say.

"True it gets more final near graduation." He says.

"Hows your roomate?" I ask.

"He's cool, he's a music band wannabe, but its okay." I laugh.

"Its weird not being at the summer house." I blurt out.

"Yeah." He sighs.

"Any news?" I say.

"Scar is fine for now, taking her meds." Troy says, a twinge of pain in his voice.

"She will get out of this." I say.

"I hope so."

"So uh are you good at math?" I say changing subject.

"I won the Decathlon." Oh yeah.

"Can you explain differentiation?" I ask.

From then on Troy tutored me in Math over the phone everyday, I liked listening to him speak and I wanted to do well, to impress him.

It was weird he was like my boyfriend now.

Thats what I told Nina, who was escatic, but secretly I didn't know myself.
