Nina had gone, her mom came to collect her and she left thanking my parents, Scar and gave me a stiff nod and left.

Not even a goodbye.

Our friendship was over, this wasn't like a small bicker, this was huge and it was because of me.

A friend I had all my life hated me. My parents understood that something had happened between me and Nina. Even when I came home really late they didn't even shout when they saw me, Nina and Troy with sullen faces.

Troy refused to acknowledge my existence, he came everyday to visit Scar and read her books, but he never looked at me.

Keegs and Cam knew a short summary of what happened, they didn't get angry, but they just looked disappointed in me.

I had no one.

This summer was turning into a nightmare and I was praying for school to come quicker. Just like that I had lost so much.

Luke hung out with me a lot in my loneliness, but he didn't know many people so I was his best option.

I felt useless and selfish, and I wanted to go back to philly.

I tried calling Nina, but she had blocked my number, she didn't reply to my texts and had even unfriended from facebook.

As a joke when we were twelve we wrote in a relationship with each other, which a lot of girls did to show their friendship, but now her status was single.

It broke me.

I wrote emails and texts to Troy, which he wrote back to once saying, 'Stop texting or I'll block.'

I didn't even try calling, afraid.

I decided to go and see Scar, I had spent a lot of time with her playing cards, holding a puke bucket, helping mom, its not like I had anything else better to do.

"Hey Scar." Scar was in between her sheets, blonde hair swept all over face.

"Scar its time to take your meds." I say nudging her.

"Huh?" She gets up, moving her blonde hair out of her face.

Then the most horrendous thing happens. As Scar gets up, strands and strands of hair fall onto her pillow.

I gasp, Scar turns and looks at her pillow filled with blonde hair. She now had bald spots on the back of her head.

"Shit." She murmurs.

She starts gathering her hair and chucks it in the bin, I look at her in horror.

"Fucking chemo." Scar says, she was so sad and her voice sounded so harsh.

"Scar..." I say.

"What? I lost some hair! Big whoop! Loads of people lose their hair! right?" She bursts into tears and I rub her back.

"It'll grow back." I say softly.

"I don't want it to grow, I want it how it was!" She wails, Scar never cries and this was scaring me.

"You can do this Scar." I soothe rubbing her back continuously.

"Yeah?" she whispers.

"Yes." I say clearly.

I look up and see Troy in the doorway, he looks away and leaves.

"Go after him." Scar says.

"W-what?" I stutter.

"Go and give him this, it was a small envelope." She says with a pleading look, that I get up and go after Troy.

I had to talk to him.

For Scar.

Try was halfway down the porch steps when I reached him.

"Troy!" He keeps walking.

"Hey!" I turn him around.

"What?" He spits that I recoil from the venom in his voice, his eyes blaze with fury.

I was very scared.

I had never seen Troy like this.

"Scar-" I start.

"Yes I saw, she's dying don't you get it?" He yells.

I stay quiet.

"She's leaving like dad, like every one!" He exclaims.

"Scar is going to be-" I try again.

"Do not say fine. She is not bloody fine." He snarls.

"She wanted me to give you this." I hand the envelope over.

He tears it open in front of me.

I thought he would look at in private.

He gulps.

"W-what is it?" I stutter.

He looks at me with a dark look, "Its her will. She has just handed over her life savings to me." He says.
