Omg this is it guys...
Comment below!~Life gets hard and shitty, but when its good, its fucking incredible.~
...............
My dress feels too tight to put on, my hands feel sweaty and I'm not sure about this makeup anymore.
I stare at my reflection.
My hair swept into a bun, curled strands falling around my face. "Its all about natural beauty, thats the real fashion trend these days!" My makeup artist, Gina said. Now I feel like I haven't slapped enough on and I'm not feeling that natural beauty glow.
Oh god.
Breathe Shay.
Its gonna be okay.My white gown falls down to the floor, after trying dress after dress, my mom pulled out her wedding dress and I got it altered.
Its now a silk white gown which is backless with lace. I'm wearing simple diamond studs and my gorgeous ring. It's a blue sapphire surrounded by diamonds in a small oval.
I smile, I don't feel nervous anymore.
This never felt so right. That's right, today I am marrying the love of my life, Troy Carter Duke.
Shay Duke, the thought makes me dizzy.
I only wish Scar was here.
To see how happy I am, to see how happy Troy is. The light is back in his eyes, his smile is there and he's complete again.
I am so lucky, I have never been loved by someone so much.
We lasted through Stanford, and now at 26, I am a proud owner of a gallery.
The Scar Galleries, I have already made a huge profit from this and I invest with new and renowned artists. I have been able to feature my own work in other galleries.
I also took some of Scar's artwork and featured it but not for sale, to admire. The summerhouse remains full of life and art and Scar. We have spent every summer at that house and we take an annual trip to Washington hill to watch the sunset.
Thats where Troy proposed, one summer he pulled out a ring and asked for my hand.
Troy is now a surgeon specialising in cancer, he also does a lot of research and has been renowned for his medical articles. He sometimes lectures at Stanford encouraging more people to go into medical research. Troy did do law at first at Stanford but realised quickly that science was his true calling, I was shocked I never knew he had any sort of passion for science.
But things change and so do people, maybe even for the better.
Scar may be gone physically, but she's in our hearts and she's happy.
My mom comes in distracting me from my reverie.
"You look absolutely beautiful." My mom kisses my head.
"Thank you." I whisper.
"Nervous?" she rubs my back.
"Yes." I sigh.
"That means you really love him." My mom smiles.
"Yes loving him for most of my life wasn't enough." I laugh.
"You're lucky, the love you two have only happens in books." My mom is almost crying.
"I have one hell of a star up there watching over me." I hug my mom.
Keegs who has grown up so much and is about to graduate from PennState as a lawyer. And Cameron has been in Africa working on charity projects and has become a spokesperson for Education in developing countries.
Oh and Cameron and Nina are together now, they bonded over education, such a small world.
Time really does fly and you don't know where its gone.
"Are you ready sister in law?" Keegs wiggles his eyebrows."Is he bothering you?" Nina comes in, wearing a purple bandeau strapless, my bridesmaid dress choice.
"Wow you look amazing!" I smile.
"Says the girl in white, you are the stunner tonight!" Nina claps her hands. Nina went UCLA to study Philosophy and is now training to become a professor there. Our unis were only an hour away so it was all good and we kept in touch.
Even though I made amazing friends at Stanford, Nina was my one and only, and I wanted her to be the maid of honour. She was great and basically planned the whole thing with our moms.
"Its time!" Keegs urged behind the church wooden doors. I heard the music start.
"You look great Shay!" Cam pops his head through the door.
"Thanks." I smile at him.
"Nina baby you looking fly." Cam winks. I roll my eyes, but Nina giggles, oh brother.
"Don't ever say that again." Keegan shudders, I high five him and Cam laughs. They leave us be.
"Ready babygirl?" My dad came out of nowhere looking dashing in a tux.
"You look good in a tux Dad." He smiles, my mom and Nina go in after the flower girls.
"No matter what happens this is your moment Shay." My dad says to me.
And I know I will remember that forever.
I take a deep breath hold onto my dads arm and we push through the doors. There he was.
Standing there so beautifully. His hair gelled back like DiCaprio and in a black tux and white shirt, he looked like a god.
My god, my everything.
I met his blue eyes and his face turned into a full blown smile.
How did I get this lucky?
I couldn't believe I had reached the end of the aisle, the whole church covered in white roses and candles.
I took a look at the ceiling.
It was covered in white sparkly stars, I gasped.
"Troys idea." My dad whispered as I came in front of the priest.
Troy winks at me, he was so confident, I felt like a mess."You like the stars?" Troy mouthes at me. I nod in tears and mouth back "Scar is here now."
Troy smiles even more and this time with his eyes, and I know he is truly happy.
I blubbered my way through the vows, Troy a lot more confident. His 'I do' rang strong and clear.
Then out of nowhere Troy kisses me and everyone claps, but I focus on his lips and how they were mine forever.
Troy looks at me, "So Mrs Duke, whats next?"
"It doesn't matter whats next, because we are here now and I love you." I look into his eyes.
He smiles and kisses me again.
........
Thats it!
